Total loss of engine power massive amount black soot exiting exhaust while driving recall # 05V270000 was not performed on vehicle ( I am the original owner) never received notice in mail and dealer somehow missed this "work" and Ford should have followed through on this situation. Other repairs done to this vehicle to "fix" this problem was to drain the fuel tank (algae in fuel was the excuse-no algae) fuel pump and filter rail (not problem) two turbochargers were replaced due to excessive sooting (one warranty one at my expense) EGR valves and a cam sensor (Ford knows the problems exist because Ford discountinued the 6.0 litre motor) this problem has occured multiple times over my ownership.

Faulty exhaust manifold bolts break off and cause excessive noise, exhaust enters the drivers cabin, vehicle will not pass emissions inspection and is expensive to repair. I have 4 Ford vehicles with this problem. First incident was at around 50,000 miles and 48 months after purchase. Ford refused to make repairs under any portion of the factory warranty. They claim lifetime emissions warranty doesn't cover it, nor the 100,000 powertrain warranty. I have spent over $8000.00 making repairs to these exhaust manifolds. Triton v-10 gas engine.

Sometimes, it took up to four attempts before the vehicle would restart. When the vehicle was restarted, it hesitated to move. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, but the technician could not find a failure code. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07V553000 (engine and engine cooling). No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 210,000.
