What owners report

I was driving on [redacted] in the Dallas area when the parking brake suddenly and unexpectedly engaged. I tried to disengage it manually using the button to the left of the steering wheel, but it would not disengage. Due to the higher speed of being on a state highway, the vehicle quickly became unstable and within a few seconds the brakes locked up and I went into a spin crossing two lanes in the process. I was lucky that no other vehicles were in the path of travel and I eventually came to a stop pointing the wrong way on a 6 lane highway. Even after coming to a stop I could not disengage the parking brake. I forced the car to drive with the brake engaged and I pulled off the road and got out of the vehicle. The contact immediately depressed the parking brake to avoid crashing into another vehicle. The contact called the manufacturer and was instructed to reboot the vehicle. Despite the reboot, the failure persisted as several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. A technician was sent to the residence to inspect the vehicle; the contact was later informed by the mechanic that the vehicle was repaired. …
