The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle was jerking as the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the contact was informed that the oxygen sensors and transmission fluid needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired, however, the contact attempted to replace the oxygen sensors himself. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the proper oxygen sensors were replaced; however, the contact stated that when he drove over 45 MPH, all warning lights would illuminate on the instrument panel and that an abnormal noise was heard coming from the rear of the vehicle. …
Vehicle driving speed limit of 65 when all of a sudden check engine light came on and off a few times. Driver pulled over to side of road and raised hood. Waiting on tow truck and vehicle caught fire in engine compartment.
vehicle has 113,000 miles on it now, the engine is knocking so I brought it in to Weber in Detroit Lakes Minnesota they say it needs cams and lifters e c t. Estimate is $5,000 or new engine $9,000 so now I can't get to work! I commute back and forth every day 70 miles each way, this vehicle should not have this problem as of yet in my eyes! Will the factory / dealership warranty this fix for me? I purchased vehicle from Weber in Detroit Lakes almost four years ago with 80,000 miles on it I have only driven at 33,000 miles since then!! I don't have that kind of money for this fix nor can I afford to buy a replacement vehicle but now the knocking you can hear it outside the vehicle but you cannot hear it in the cab of the vehicle so how long has this problem actually been going on before the fact of me noticing it just very recently so then I quit driving it immediately and brought it …
I went to the car wash in the afternoon, I parked truck in driveway when I got home. Ate lunch with my kids and went outside after and was enjoying the summer weather and unexpectedly my truck started rolling in the driveway and crashed into trees on my property. I got a stick stuck in my leg trying to get my truck out of the woods that became infected. Truck went to dealership and 2 recalls were fixed. The Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) described in the recall is exactly what happened in this incident. Causes a rollaway vehicle that may cause crash or injury unexpectedly with no warning. I reported it to Mopar and Stellantis and made claims with both.
This incident has happened several times while driving on the road. When driving at slow speeds, approaching a red light, or slowing down to make a left or right turn, the vehicle shuts off without warning. The power steering and brakes stop working, making the car hard to handle. I have to put it in neutral, restart the vehicle, and start it back up without any problems. This is a very well-maintained vehicle and a daily driver. The car has 172000 miles on it. I have done internet research on this, and it seems to be a very common thing with Dodge Ram Trucks.
Charging system failure at pcm causing low voltage and battery will not charge causing the vehicle to become disabled. I was on the interstate battery light came Om with system Low voltage code for engine light. The truck shut off and I was left without power steering or brakes. doing 75mph. Voltage regulator is in pcm and pcm needs replaced. Vehicle is still out of commission
My 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 shuts off without warning. The incident frequently happens when I am driving at city speeds. If I am turning, the vehicle shuts off, and the power steering also cuts off, causing problems turning the steering wheel. When I am driving straight, there are no warning lights on the dashboard, and the vehicle shuts down. This is very dangerous while going.
My husband was driving about 20mls per hrs when our truck cought fire the whole front of our truct cought fire. The front mirror and everything if distroit due to the fire .
At about 65000 miles I started hearing a "ticking" sound from the engine, when it was cold. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and I was told that the exhaust manifold bolts had broken, this causes exhaust fumes to enter the passenger compartment during the winter when using the heater, and the summer using the air conditioner. . I believe that the problem was caused by Chrysler using substandard materials for these bolts. This seems to be a chronic problem with the "Hemi" engine, so much so that there are you tube videos showing how to repair the problem. The dealer estimated the repair cost to be $ 1800.00. As time goes by I felt that this should be a recall, due to the fact that this was never a problem with older vehicles, and it happened around 65,000 miles though I took it in around 70000 miles for the estimate. …
I was informed by the Chrysler dealer that my vehicle would not pass safety inspection. The reason for the failure was because of exhaust manifold bolts that have broken, therefore the seal between the manifold and the engine had been compromised. My vehicle has only 60000 miles on it. After further research it is evident that this is a known issue with my vehicle and engine combination. There are vast amounts of complaints concerning this exact issue and how to remedy this design flaw. I attempted to reach out to Chrysler so they could perform a goodwill gesture repair. My attempt was denied, with no explanation as to why. The issue with the exhaust manifold bolts breaking creates a serious safety and environmental concern, and Chrysler is at fault and needs to take responsibility for using inferior bolts or improper engineering techniques. …
