The frame on my Dodge Ram has broken welds on both sides of the frame where the lower control arms mount to the frame. They have failed due to manufacturing defects during the welding process. The truck has never been wrecked, driven off road, or done any towing. Dodge refuses any assistance in replacing the frame because it has aged out of their warranty. The truck has 74,138 miles on it and is not drivable without a new frame. I had the truck in twice under warranty service for drivability issues under braking and steering over bumps. Neither time were the cracks in the frame found or addressed. Every time the brakes are applied, the steering wheel shakes uncontrollably and is unsafe to drive. I found the damage while changing the oil and was about to replace the frt hub bearing assembly on the passenger side since the driver's side had already failed and had been replaced earlier. …
Since I first bought this truck in 2005 its had a pretty serious problem with stalling out when coming to a stop, and even worse, sometimes mid turn while moving. This is a very dangerous issue since loss of control is eminent in this type of incident. Along with this stalling out, the truck has a rough idle/surging idle issue when at a stop. Ive tried all types of repairs, and spent alot of money trying to fix this issue with no avail. I took it into Dodge after I first bought the truck and they said they could not recreate the problem and everything was fine. I took it in again and they cleaned the throttle body. Still same issue. Now ive replaced, out of my own pocket, the EGR valve, throttle body itself, EVAP purge valve, and have tried a list of other remedies. Still not fixed. …
Dt*: the contact stated while driving at 30mph, the vehicle was involved in a crash. The brake pedal was depressed; however the vehicle did not stop and hit another vehicle. The contact was wearing a safety restraint and received no injuries. There was considerable amount of damage to both vehicles involved. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership prior to the incident concerning brake problems. The dealer had previously replaced the rear axle, rear brakes, rear brake drum, rear brake pads, brake shoes, linings and also the rear spring. The dealer stated no additional repairs could be completed until the manufacturer released other TSB's. The police filed a report at the scene.
I am writing to warn you of a very dangerous problem with your remanufactured brake caliper part # le5383 purchased from a napa parts dealer in ann arbor, mi by main street motors. I had two of these calipers installed on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck at main street motors on May 18, 2016. The left front caliper failed immediately, within the first couple of times I applied the brakes. I was able to get it back to main street motors before running out of brake fluid and crashing, luckily.

We dont use the four wheel drive very often. There was a heavy snowfall the other day. I put the transmision in neuteral tried to put the four wheel drive shifter into four wheel drive and the four wheel drive shifter came loose. And the antilock brake lights on the dashboard came on and I had to give a lot of extra braking time. It is in the shop at this time. But I almost ran into someone. I missed them by only a few feet
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the rear brakes locked and the drive shaft separated while driving 55 MPH. The vehicle was towed to a local garage. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 14V796000 (rear axle pinion nut) after the failure occurred. ABS sensor comes on over 55mph. Exterior lighting keeps blowing bulbs and sometimes the tail lights completely shut off, sometimes brake lights inoperable. Windshield wipers work when they want to or only at the highest frequency. All occurs while vechicle is being driven in city street conditions other than on highway when I have to go above 55mph
