I drive a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. Last week, as I was driving my children to their grandmothers house, I noticed the steering wheel shaking. I regained control and made it to my moms house and dropped off the children. As I left her house and made it back to the road, the van became hard to steer. It started jerking to one side and wobbling. I called the dealership where I purchased my van and was told to bring it in immediately. The day after bringing the van in, I returned to dealership and they showed me what was wrong with the van. It was lifted up into the air and I was showed that the rear axle on the driver side had been broken. There was 2 mechanics there and one suggested that I had been in a collision or hit a big pothole. …
Tires 225/65R17 Cooper driving on interstate and stared bumping at 55mph.van towed and tires replaced.. no warning lights.. Whitten Brothers in Ashland VA inspected tires and indicated on a video that passenger side tires had come apart.. I had all four tires replaced because I was afraid the other two would come apart.. Tl* the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Caravan equipped with yokohama avid s33 tires, size: 225/65r17. While the vehicle was parked, the contact observed that the front driver and passenger side tire threads began to separate. The vehicle was taken to an independent tire shop where it was diagnosed that the tires needed to be replaced. The tire manufacturer informed the contact that the tires were made to last between 2,500-30,000 miles. No further assistance was provided. The dot number was unknown. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 28,100.
I can't unscrew 4 lug nuts on my rear wheel. I was able to remove just one bought extra tool try to remove them all. Material is like butter, not steel. How engineering could let material like that to be used. I found on the web that a dealer wonna $400 to remove that lugs....
My vehicle was struck in the drivers side door by another vehicle. The entire side of the van was affected, from the wheels to the bumpers. I feel the vehicle that struck my van was doing at least 20 MPH at the time of impact and the side impact air bags did not deploy. In my research I have found that impacts from 8 to 18 MPH should cause these side air bags to deploy. This is very concerning for myself and the safety of others with these types of vehicles. Chrysler had an "independent" investigator inspect the van before any repairs were completed. I was not asked to be present at the time of the inspection or given a copy of the report. I will be attempting to contact the "independent" investigator for a copy of the report but don't feel that I will have much luck. …
I have purchased my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan new in 2014 and I purchased a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan for my daughter. Both required transmissions replaced? My unfortunately was out of warranty for time not miles driven. My daughter's vehicle was covered by the warrantee. The first issue with my vehicle was wheel bearing going out. When they checked more in depth they discovered metal pieces in the transmission fluid. As a result my vehicle required a new transmission as did my daughter's vehicle. What I find very interesting is that the dealership had transmissions in stock? Seems like this is a bigger issue than they let on.
I have a 2014 Dodge Caravan. The van only has 48 k miles. The battery went bad so I replaced the battery. Then the problem started. 1st the car will NOT turn off. I remove the key and the engine is still running and won't turn off. I had to remove the ASD relay which was very hot. Once I was able to shut down ,now the dashboard shows the car in reverse but it is actually in park and won't come out of gear. The check engine light is on, the tire is low light is on, and the car with tire tracks is on,(abs). I looked up recalls and they have had a recall on the fuelpump relay .
