Car cold stalls, stalls when at traffic lights, engine shakes violently, brakes squeal an grind, when starting car floods itself and cannot be turned on for a few hours, had an accident at 44-50 MPH and airbag did not deploy, gears stick and do not come out of gear at times:insurance was called at time of accident and said no reason could be identified as to why airbag did not deploy. Car has had new brakes every 3-4 months, brand new cooling system, tune-up, oil change every 2500-3000 miles, dealership updated software, cold start stalling problem could not be duplicated, check engine light keeps coming on and off and no problems found at auto shop. I contacted the dealership and they informed me that since the car was used they were not going to and could not do anything about it and refused to check anything out or even listen to my concerns. …

I purchased my 2004 Sebring at shellby Chrysler Jeep\Eagle dealership. Just a few short months later ,my car started just cutting off. Then it started jumping forward while I had my foot on the brake almost causing me to get hit in several intersections. I took my car in more than 7 times to be told that they could not find a problem because the check engine light did not come on therefore it would not pull a code. Meanwhile, I have to take it back for a leak somewhere. This happened twice. Now 2 years later just as my warranty has ran out, the car starts cutting off and leaving me stranded. I had to have towed to the dealership only for the service department to Smart off at ma and tell me that it was out of gas. I knew this was not true because the first time this happened the first thing I did was try to put gas in it. …

I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible v6. The car stalls every once and a while, after stopping or while riding at lower speeds, most often in hot summer days. The main concern is that when it stalls while riding, I lose power to the breaks and the steering wheel, making it very difficult to control. It also has a problem that after running for a while on a highway using the cruise control, when it comes to a stop, it begins to stall, but I guess the fuel injection system kicks-in and that leads to a very rapid acceleration. At that moment, if I am not pressing firmly on the breaks, the car May even jump forward and hit something. I reported these issues to the dealer while it was under warranty but they said they could not reproduce it. Since this happens sporadically and I am always prepared for such events, I did not insist too much with the dealer. …

My car, 2004 Sebring sedan with 19,000 has had a surging problem for several months. As I,m coming to a stop, with my foot on the brake, the car will surge forward as if I was giving it gas. On 10/28/04, I've had the car examined coon rapids Chrysler dealership mechanics and was told they found nothing wrong with it outside of misfires in three cylinders. They said they road tested the car and did not experience what I experience every day during every stop. I was told they reset the PCM as this is what manufacturer recomends. When I left the dealership, I experienced the same surging from the very first stop and all the other stops during the fifteen mile drive home.nextweek I'll take it to another dealer and see if they can fix this. I've noticed that mycarstats.com has numerous complaints regarding this problem and the dealers/manufacturer appears to not dealing with it. …

Had fuel pump replaced a couple months ago. Then at gas station wouldnt start at all, had a tow truck take it to a mechanic and that mechanic tapped on gas tank and it started and said fuel pump needs to be replace so I called the dealer where I bought it because the new fuel pump had a warranty. They said they found nothing wrong with fuel pump but found problem wirh #2 selinoid and they replaced it. Two weeks later ths car was driving fine but when I got home and turned off the car for a couple hours it started right up. So I turned it off and on a couple times then the engine surged then hestitated then died. It did it twice after starting it then turning itvon about 5 times trying to find out what could be wrong with it. I bought the car in February 2017. I had both strut mounts fixed, fuel pump, an air valve from coolant do not remember exact name, #2 selinoid now this problem. …

Several months ago I was stopped at a stoplight in my 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible, 2.7l automatic. I shifted into neutral as usual at the light. When the light changed I shifted into drive and the engine went "wide open." I lurched forward, jammed on brakes and turned ignition off. I paused a minute (in front of starteled onlookers), restarted the engine, and drove on cautiously. Next day I took car to Chrysler dealer and they "could find nothing wrong with the car." this could have been disastrous. It has not happened again.
