This form is not user friendly. You are precluded from going back to previous screens without losing information. I just filled out a form completely, and was cut off before I could add comments! Please cross reference my information. My additonal comment is that given that my car is less than 4 years old, I feel that I have had major repair items, such as A/C compressor/ brake rotors/tie rods). If a car is made to last, these problems should not arise. The dealerships view is that a 4 year car with 27,000 miles is worn out and that's just the way it is. My other car is a Saturn and after 6 years I have had zero repairs aside from normal maintenance. Chrysler makes bad products, and doesn't stand behind their cars. Please be on alert that there are way too many problems arising with Cirrus models. I have dealt with tamiami Chrysler in miami [phone] who are incompetent, liars and crooks. …

Chrysler wants us to be responsible for 50% of charges to repair only the transmission; which was already overhauled at 35,000 miles. We need help in getting Chrysler to take responsibility for a possible lemon. The power steering pump is going out and the dealer said it is premature; Chrysler will not even acknowledge. The ABS brake light comes on and stays on at different times, the front of the car "jumps" upon slowing to stop. The car has been nothing but trouble.

Hydraulic power assist system · Jan 1999

While driving on highway heard a rubbing noise. Pulled over, and two rear tires were turned in. Contacted dealer, and was told that upper control arm broke because they were not properly lubricated. Was also told that this vehicle was not designed where consumer could reach to lubricate. In addition, vehicle was making noise when putting it in reverse, and was not able to steer car because power steering pump seal went out and fluid leaked onto the ground.

The vehicle was taken to dealer to repair defect that was on lower control arm recall. The dealer pumped air into the ball joints. Later the consumer developed steering problems, and contacted dealer again. The dealer stated that the steering problem was not associated with the recall. While driving on highway the front lower control arm completely separated from the ball joint at 25mph. No accident or injuries occurred . (97v-201).

I feel that it is important for the NHTSA to make an investigation to this matter for previews attempts to correct a known problem, they repalced defective part not getting rid of inicial problem. This is a problem that can cause real damage if not even possible fatalities please I urge you to take matters into your hand. No safety defect (s) mentioned in summary.

Steering wheel/handle bar · Dec 1999

While driving vehicle shut down. Managed to turn vehicle off. Vehicle was always being towed due to not being able to shift into gear to move it. At dealership was informed that front tie rods needed to be replaced due to coming loose. Also, transmission needed to be replaced/ distributor had failed to function properly.

I bought this car 08/12/03. I paid 8800.00 for the car. I bought an extended warranty plan for 1 year. Due to all the problems I was having I ran a carfax report and found out this was a rental vehicle when pro car bought it at the auction. The manager denied knowing this. I took the car in on 8/15/03 because the steering was tightening up and power steering was nonexistent when going under 10mph. Service man told me steering rack but then they took that back. Car was overheating, and something wrong with idle. The dealer could not replicate the problem and said that overheating was normal unless it was going in the red. Took in 08/21..same problems as before but now transmission problem. Car would not down shift and would pop out of gear traveling down the hwy doing 65mph..car would instantly slow down and had to immediately pull over almost getting in an accident twice. …
