While backing out of the driveway the brakes failed without warning. As a result the vehicle collided into a tree. The dealer states the brake booster had malfunctioned. No injuries reported. Please provide additional information.
Complete brake failure due to a mechanical break down of the vacum assist unit. Similar to below previous complaint in 2002. What bothers me is that the part is on back order and seems to be in great demand across the country. When it goes - you have no brakes! Luckily I was in a parking lot at work and no accident occured. My Chrysler 300m loses its power brakes whenever it is cold and it seems damp out side. The power brake booster seems to be the problem. When the car warms up it works good enough to drive but the brakes are still sluggish. After driving the car for 15 min to half hour the brake booster seems to start working OK. It has done this since I bought the car. I have no braking when the car is cold sometimes! And a loud sucking sound comes out of the brake booster when its hanging up.

The vehicle was unable to be driven due to the failure randomly occurring and was towed to a repair shop. The mechanic indicated that the vehicle needed to be taken to a dealer for further inspection and diagnosis. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unknown.
The consumer was coming out of a parking garage and when the brakes were applied, the pedal would not move. The vehicle continued out into traffic. Owner contacted the manufacturer and the dealer and was told that they would have to check the vehicle before they can determine the cause. Provide further details.
While vehicle was moving approximately 20 MPH, consumer pressed brake pedal to stop, and pedal hit floor. Vehicle did not stop, causing consumer to rear end vehicle in front of him. The customer states brake failure was due to defect.
While braking at 65 MPH with the foot depressing the brake pedal to the floor vehicle accelerated to 90 MPH. Consumer managed to decelerate the vehicle, and pulled over. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
Brakes applied with out the application from the driver then released .this occurred two times driving at 50 MPH. The car was then parked. The defrost and heat came on and the antilock light illuminated both times.
There were problems with electric windows and a crack in the dash. The electric windows had stuck shut due to the tight seal designed to reduce the wind noise, and the crack in the dash was around the passenger side air bag and appeared where the material was stretched over the air bag underneath. Also, when the vehicle was two months old, the front wheel rotors had to be replaced, the battery was replaced in the first year, before 50K a defective bearing on the cooling fan was required to be replaced.
Tires are worn excessively, all 4 tires affected. Tires according to Goodyear should last between 20000 and 40000 miles. Goodyear Eagle tires, dot nk43bmdr199, 17 inch tires, consumer states spare tire is also worn. Goodyear states that tires are not the problem, vehicle has vibration and pulls to the left, could be suspension or tire related. Engine failed due to pistons too close together, consumer states ever since vehicle has been repaired, it does not run normal now. Rotors were replaced, brakes resurfaced.
