Depressed accelerator pedal lightly to proceed through an intersection.roughly 10 MPH into the acceleration the vehicle suddenly without warning accelerated on its own through the next intersection causing a 3 car accident and 4 people injured.all vehicles involved were disabling damage with mine being the worst, total loss.air bags did not deploy causing injury to passenger and I resulting in seizures to passenger from head trauma.this defect of the vehicle has caused a major financial burden on me and my family from the date of accident and well into the future with my insurance rates since I have been deemed at faullt due to car accelerating instead of allowing me to stop.
My airbag light comes on intermittently and I am not sure if it is safe to drive. I realize there is a recall already in place to fix, but I am being informed by my dealership and by my Chrysler customer service rep rep that my airbag can not be repaired until December 2016 that is over a year from now and 19 months from the original recall of May 29, 2015 airbag recall number 15v-313 that is ridiculous. I understand this is a big recall, but my issue is that dealerships are only fixing one car a week per (Chrysler) regardless of how many parts are sent to dealers. If this truly a "safety recall" how is that allowed to happen? I have all dates and times of who I have spoken to at Chrysler and the dealership.
Engine completely shut off as exiting freeway and was nearly hit by 2 cars. Managed to get home by driving streets and staying in righthand lane. Shut off twice but pulled to side of rode. It took approximately 4 seconds for ignition to engage. It is in garage and I am afraid for my life to drive it. I am [redacted] years old and will not give up on this because it is a danger to ones life. I went online to airpark Chrysler and texted with a nicole on February 15, 2019 and she said someone from in the service department would get back with me and no one has. Please help me with this dangerous problem.
