The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH and making a turn, the vehicle inadvertently lost power steering and another vehicle slightly crashed into the rear end of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was not filed. The contact stated that he forcefully steered the steering wheel and veered to the side of the road. The contact stated that he was unable to drive the vehicle after several attempts. The lightning bolt warning light illuminated. The vehicle was pushed to his residence with assistance. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
I was parked in a parking lot backing out of a space. I was too close to the right curb so I put the car in drive to go forward to straighten out the tires. The gas accelerated abruptly and would not stop when I pressed the brake. The car jumped the curb/sidewalk and plowed into the parked car in front of me. The gas continued to accelerate pushing the vehicle in front of me about 5 feet back. The car did not stop until I jammed it into park. My bumper was ripped off when backing up was caught in the grill of the vehicle it collided with. I had both feet on the brake pad trying to stop the car and it would not stop. A very frightening experience. I have read several posts on this acceleration problem and believe there should be a recall. Not a good experience to remember Chrysler by.
Engine failure, speed control doesn't work, car keeps cutting off, does not pick up speed, jerks really bad, shifts gears by it self at times, air bags are recalled, the car has been at the chrysler dealership for over 6 months they keep saying different things are wrong with it not sure completely what the issues are just know a few. I was told the car is still jerking and cutting off which was the problem when I brought the car in they are charging me almost $800 for work done and was promised the car would be fixed but the car still has the same exact issues from the moment I brought it in. And being told it is still not drivable after being worked in by Chrysler mechanics for over 6 months.
After starting the vehicle and going from reverse to drive the vehicle stalls out. After the initial stall and traveling a few miles, while stopping at a traffic signal the vehicle stalls out again and more times than not can accelerate at a speed higher than prompted. This is a frequent occurrence and other owners of the same make model and year that I have spoken with have the same issue.
Car keeps stalling stops suddenly can crash or accident in freeway specially took it dealer several times cant find issue not safe to drive almost got hit in freeway when stall suddenly date when it happens almost every time i drive it or every other day have bought different oarts also n continues stalling
My first complaint is that my car stalls as I am actively driving. Whether I am using cruise control or physically pressing the gas pedal, the car just stalls out and I lose control of all steering function & have to try to get to the shoulder before I get slammed into on the highway. This happens at least twice weekly, all hours of the day or night, regardless of the weather or how much gas is in the tank, and I almost always have my children with me.There are not one, but TWO recalls for this specific issue which I just found today after months of Internet searching because I never received any notices. The recalls are Chrysler campaign N52 and NHTSA campaign 13v043000 - so how is it that those recalls don't apply to MY particular 2013 Chrysler 200? My second complaint is about the horn, and I'm not the only person who has dealt with this one either, there are several online forums... …
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. While driving at an unknown speed, the headlights and tail lights became inoperable. The vehicle was towed to transitowne Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram williamsville (7408 transit rd, williamsville, ny 14221, [phone]) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The mechanic replaced the headlamp bulbs. Additionally, while attempting to reverse out of the driveway, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into a fire hydrant. The contact was not injured. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. While driving, the vehicle lost power. The accelerator pedal was depressed to the floorboard, but there was no acceleration. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The contact was referred to auffenberg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (176 auto ct, o'fallon, il 62269, [phone]) where it was diagnosed that the battery was malfunctioning and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The dealer further stated that there was possible electrical failure due to an improper jump start. The contact believed the dealer caused the electrical failure. The contact stated that the throttle body failure recurred even though the dealer did not think a failure existed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they want to charge the contact for the repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. …
On approximately 7/14/15, upon accelerating from a stopped position, my Chrysler 200 hesitated on take off. I had to take my foot off the gas pedal and slowly try accelerating again, still with hesitation, but finally taking off. There was slight hesitation as my vehicle was accelerating, then the fuel seemed to catch up. This has occurred several times randomly since 7/14/15. I took my car to the dealership on 7/23/15 as it is still under manufacturers warranty, explained the situation, and they said they found no problems, that "no codes" showed up on the computer. This problem appears to effect the engine, fuel/propulsion system and speed control. I was very concerned each time this happened of being involved in a car accident. I will continue to be concerned until this problems is resolved. I intend to take it back to the dealership for further investigation into this problem.
Bought care used from the dealer 9 months ago and at approx. 52,000 miles the check engine light and traction control light came on while driving. The car decelerated to 30mph and lost all throttle control. Luckily I could pull over and get out of traffic and when I stopped the engine shuttered violently then cut off. This could have been fatal if it happened on the interstate. Had to restart the car over a dozen times to get it home. Finally got it to the shop and they have replace the throttle body and computer. Still at the shop and the issue is still not resolved. The bill is almost $600 and I don't have a working car . After doing research I see this is the same issue that happens to this car. Chrysler really needs to recall all of these cars and refund all money so we can buy a car that runs and will not potentially kill someone.
