The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. During the failure, the vehicle accelerated to speeds in excess of 100 MPH. Additionally, during the failure the brake pedal was depressed however, the vehicle did not slow down or stop. Two times in a month after getting fixed the first time the esc error code pops up and the engine starts running at 1/2 capacity and the steering gets hard to steer. There is also a braking error code that displays. I have had to tow it to the dealership twice now and can not drive it. It is a danger since it will decelerate when in traffic and becomes hard to steer.
Experiencing reduced speed, rattling noise, check engine light, power steering light on. Chevy app shows throttle control system and antilock break system error messages. Took to Chev dealership. Advised it was fuel injector (1 /4 was burned out). Had all 4 replaced ($3000). Picked up car on a Friday, vehicle was having the same issues next day Saturday. Took it back on Monday, it is now Wednesday and they're saying it's the turbo charger now (another $3000). Mechanic couldn't figure out what the issue was so it took 3 days for him to now say it's the turbo charger. I think it was the turbo charger from the get go! What's the purpose of the diagnostics ($250)? Isn't it to pinpointed the issue? 1st day, took him 4 hours to say it was the fuel injector. 2nd time around it took 3 days. I kept showing them and telling them it's the throttle control system! They're trying to rip me off! …
3 times in the last year while we were driving the acceleration wen very high like from 50 to all of a sudden went up to about 80. I had to stand on the brake and try to pull over. Still accelerating I put it in park and shut it off. When you restart it it drive fine again. This has happened three times and the dealership says they can't find a problem. We are stuck driving a death trap. Please help. They wanna charge diagnosis everything I take it in. Then they say they can't find nothing. Now I am finding others that have had same issue and dealership says there is no problem. This has got to be destroying the engine reving at such high speeds.
Engine started chirping, replaced idler pulley and the other stationary pulley and belt, the air condition pump was replaced before winter , well with the recent warm up this spring I needed to use the air, at an idle it works ,some light squeeling, but as you are driving it lacks acceleration, it will go if you hit the gas pedel a few times, but it's pretty scary, as soon as you turn off the A/C it drives normal. I see this has been a problem for others that I have read in various car truck forums.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While driving approximately 10 MPH, the vehicle decelerated independently and the reduce engine power warning light illuminated. The vehicle was restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.
This issue occurred about 6-7 times throughout my 15 mile trip. My travel was on a highway and speeds were between 55-68 m.p.h. At the onset of each occurrence. I would hit a bump in the road (not a major one ' just a bump) and then the 'stabilitrak active' light would be illuminated in the dash continuously blinking like it's stuck. Then: -the truck would become sluggish dropping speed and knocking off the cruise control -you can't accelerate -the steering locks up sort of causing it to feel like the truck is out of control, this occurring at highway speeds -the amount of power used by stabilitrak was immense ' the headlights began to dim the longer it was stuck in this state -if you try braking during these spells it has the anti-lock active so you're just grinding away like you're in a skid but not stopping (and this is on dry pavement!) -- this occurred one time while I was on an …
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the driver was traveling at an unknown speed when the vehicle abnormally accelerated and crashed into a concrete wall. There were four occupants in the vehicle, all of which were killed. A police report was filed. The black box was investigated and the investigating officer determined that vehicle accelerated but the driver did not apply the brakes during the failure. The contact stated that there were black tire marks at the scene of the crash, indicating that the brakes were depressed. The contact discovered numerous complaints online regarding the same acceleration failure for the year, make and model vehicle. The contact stated that he did not believe that the driver would have driven and crashed into a concrete wall without there being a vehicle malfunction. The failure mileage was 65,000.
