I read about: GM recalling 1.4 million vehicles for fire hazard by peter valdes-dapena, senior writerjune 9, 2010: 10:03 am et. While driving to work on May 17, 2010, I heard a loud "pop" and I immediately pulled over and called aaa. Approximately 10 minutes later, my 3 year old Chevy Trailblazer had flames start shooting out of the hood. It was engulfed in flames soon thereafter. I thought it was steam, so if a nj firefighter had not grabbed me out of the vehicle, I am not quite sure how this story would have ended...

I was on my way to work at an ongoing traffic on the interstate and my 2007 Trailblazer security and engine lights came on. It started to slow down and the engine completely shuts off. This is a known issue and happens multiple times before, I took it to the dealership service department they said they fixed it and I was charged almost $300 dollars unfortunately it did not fix. This is the worst vehicle I've ever had quality of the vehicle is suck. I will never buy Chevrolet again!!!!
The vehicle vibrates heavily while in idle. The car will be in the drive position at a stop. The car acts as if it is about to stall out. Which presents a huge hazard with children in the car. We have replaced the engine mounts, spark plugs, coils, boots, intake flush and performed routine maintenance. I have read that numerous trailblazers have encountered the same issue with no resolution! My biggest fear is for a car to stall and an injury to occur a a direct result.

My son in law was driving the car with my permission and while making a left turn the vehicle stalled; there was no steering or brakes. The steering wheel locked up during the turn and caused the vehicle to continue turning on it's own and I proceeded to hit a pole. The radio and lights were still on during this time, however, the engine shut off.
My 2007 Trailblazer ss has a manifold exhaust leak. The bolts are broken on the left front of the head and back bolt of the head on both sides. We are getting exhaust gas in to the inside of the truck. This could cause carbon monoxide poisoning. To the driver in the vehicle, this is very serious condition.
