When I put the truck in park it goes into park fine. I can turn the engine off but I can't remove the key because the ignition switch won't go all the way forward. The lights stay on and also the radio. I had to repeatedly start and stop the truck and move the gear shift selector to remove key. I had the same problem in February 2022. The dealer fixed it by replacing gear shift selector while under warranty. The problem was remedied. Said this was happening and there was a TSB about this problem. This problem was never consistent. Now in Aug. 2023 I am having the same problem. The truck is no longer under warranty and the dealer says that I must pay to have it diagnosed and fixed. Chevrolet is aware they have this problem with several different models and don't want to acknowledge it and take responsibility. There are several class action lawsuits filed about this. …

The infotainment center goes out, then comes on on a frequent basis causing the loss of navigation system through CarPlay and now will not even connect to CarPlay also loses backup camera. In addition I have noted that when the blinker is on to signal a turn, it will stop the blinker system when the infotainment center goes out, which is a safety concern with the use of blinkers to signal approaching rear traffic to the vehicle. I have contacted the dealer and also see there's an infotainment bulletin out. I have not had a response from the dealership as of this report. I am also a certified safety professional, and the loss of turn signal in conjunction with the infotainment center outage raises a safety concern in my opinion. …

COMPONENETS FAILING: Passenger side headlight and blinker keep failing. Driver side running light keeps failing to illuminate. Driver side rear brake lights keep failing. Rear passenger side reverse light and blinker failing to illuminate. SAFETY: I have no way to safely drive in the dark or daylight because the blinkers and headlight are failing to work properly. INSPECTION and CONFIRMATION: The problem keeps reproducing itself about every month or so since purchase, July 4th of 2022. The dealership has attempted to work on the problem four times already. Three times at the same dealership and once at another auto shop. The dealership is the only one that has inspected it. They have been in communication with the engineers on multiple occasions. …

I cannot remove the key from the ignition switch after shutting it off. The engine will shut down but the key stays on the accessories position eventually causing the battery to go dead. It doesn't do it all the time, but it at some point in time it will become permanent. I consider this a very serious safety issue as I cannot lock the vehicle therefore it can be very easily stolen. Since I cannot lock it, a child could get in the vehicle and start it up and who knows what would happen after that. I also owned another GM vehicle with the same issue the key could not be removed from the ignition switch. Because an injury was involved a GM Rep came to check it out. After working several hours, he told us he could not find anything wrong with the ignition. It seems funny we never had an issue with it after he had checked it out. Lawsuit averted! …

The 7in infotainment system regularly has problems. Most of my problems occur during and after phone calls. When talking, my audio will echo me at a loud volume for a brief second and then cut out for 3-5 seconds. When it comes back the audio will not always be at the volume it was previously. Sometimes louder sometimes very quiet, either way I have no control to change it. This will regularly happen 2-5 times during a 30 min phone call. Usually when I hang up after this happens the problems will persist. Sometimes all audio goes out, sometimes I will lose the ability to control the volume, and sometimes the volume will adjust after a 5-10 second delay. The display will sometimes blackout or reset. These problems are system wide across all audio functions including FM radio, Bluetooth audio, and apple carplay. …

In and out of the shop for the last 3.5 years (Warranty is expired now) with multiple engin codes (CEL). Most having to do with the fuel delivery systems. Most common P026D, and P1089. It has been in the shop at least 6 or more times. GM won't stand by their product. Since the warranty ended I've put mor than $4,000 in to repairs for this and now I'm told it will cost me anouther $6000 to $7000 to repair. I bout this truck used with 60,000 miles on it and paid cash $50,000 to the dealer the originally sold it to the previous owner. I just want them to fix the issue once and for all. To date they have just thrown parts at it but it never fixes the problem. They have changed the MAP sensor, the fuel rail and pressure regulator, the injectors, and they've re-wired part of the wiring harness. None of this has solved the issues.

Ignition Key Cannot Be Removed and/ or Does Not Rotate to the Off Position. It started about three weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse. The engine turns off but the vehicle remains energized. Repeat start, gear cycling, steering wheel movement and holding the shifter detent randomly allows the key to be moved to the fully off position and removed. Reference GM bulletin PI1429B. Applies to my 2019 as well. Dealer did no research when I took it in and could not reproduce at time of inspection. Said it was out of warranty and without being able to reproduce, would have to have a tech try to reproduce then diagnose.

The infotainment system is not functioning. The screen will come on as I turn on the truck, then it goes blank. Sometimes it flashes and then goes black. I cannot use any of my apps or connect to Apple CarPlay. This has been going on for months now. I have complained to Chevrolet and the dealership. They have failed to provide a solution. This truck only has 35,000 miles on it. We can no longer take it on trips because we have no navigation, especially in areas where wi-fi may be hard to connect to by just our phones. We have followed all the trouble shooting provided in the Chevy app or online and nothing helps.

Oct 2025

As I went around a turn (low speed), the truck lost power steering for about a half of a second. It came back online right away, but caused me to take the turn poorly. At the same time, the engine shut down and all of the lights on the dash went out. I stopped the vehicle, put it in park and restarted the vehicle. Everything then worked as if nothing was wrong. There are not any warning lights. It was as if someone simply turned off the ignition for a minute.
