Several malfunction indicator lights in dash appeared suddenly. Car would not start after shutting off. Finally started and drove to repair shop. Diagnosed as faulty ride height sensor. Shop searched for part at several dealers and online and found the part was discontinued in 2021. I contacted Buick and was offered $1500 off on a new GM car. I have not received any suggestions on how to repair the car or remove malfunction indicator lights which I specifically asked for. The repair shop is waiting for me to find the part and I have not been able to find one. Dealers have no answer and neither does Buick. The repair shop says it will start if sensor is unplugged but suspension will not work and dash will still have malfunction indicator lights. It is my opinion to operate under these conditions, it would definitely be hazardous.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Buick Lucerne. The contact stated that the front driver's side brake line was fractured. The contact noticed the failure while his wife was reversing out of a parking space with the brake pedal depressed. The contact stated that the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The contact added brake fluid to the vehicle and drove to his destination. The vehicle was later taken to an independent mechanic where the technician saw brake fluid leaking from the brake line. The vehicle was diagnosed and the contact was informed that the brake hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The contact mention that the passenger side brake hose showed evidence of a fracture. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 102,465.
I purchased the car from Buick Spec dealership in Prosser WA on Aug. 2, 2021. The car was sold to me with rocket panel damaged, the rear brakes- rotors needed replaced and one side brake completely gone..the pins frozen. The cars transmission fluid dark dirty..low on oil..no coolant or wiper fluid at purchase. They brought car to me during covid. The door didn't shut properly I assumed the rubber around door needed replaced and I planned to have it repaired until I seen a bulge under my driver's side door.took it in and was told by 2 certified auto body places the rocker panel was damaged. My Car started to shimmy when stopping and now the prior recall of fuse relay box burning caused my car to be currently sitting. I don't understand how they could sell me a car like this and this is my complaints. I want my repairs done and money reimbursed I've already paid for. …
I was driving east bound on interstate 20 approximately 7 miles west of sweetwater texas on July 11, 2014, when I was struck from behind by another vehicle (that left the scene.) the jarring caused me to lose power so I was unable to steer or to brake, which sent my car crashing into a guardrail; furthermore, the airbags did not deploy at all. I was uninjured, but I have checked the GM website and to date, that car (which was totaled) has not been included on their list of recalled vehicles, though it clearly had the same electrical problem that all the recalled GM vehicles have with the loss of power. I had not been directed to remove anything from my key ring, but all that I had on it was the key fob. Clearly, this vehicle should have been recalled. I was uninjured, but only because the car's chassis held up well and I had my seat belt on. …
We got several warning messages concerning traction control, stabilitrac, and brake system. The authorized dealer found that brake fluid was leaking from the master cylinder into the brake booster, requiring replacement of both components. Online searches reveals this is common problem within the Buick line and other GM products. Our experience with this failure was uneventful but could have a tragic ending if one was to continue driving an affected vehicle with low or lacking brake fluid.
2009 Buick Lucerne. Consumer writes in regarding brake rotor issues the consumer stated when he applied the brake, the front of the vehicle shuddered violently. The next day, the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The consumer was informed the front rotors were warped and needed to be resurfaced and the front pads needed to be replaced. The consumer stated not less than a month prior, everything check out fine and now 536 miles later there was a problem. The dealer stated the problem was due to the consumer not down shifting properly while driving on down grades. The consumer shared the information with a number of mechanics who indicated the cause of the problem was due to whatever procedures were applied during the tire rotation, such as improper calibration etc.
When making a turn where there is a puddle of water, the engine dies, and I lose control of the power steering for serval seconds, it seems to mostly happen when making a right turn through water. I'm not talking about a lot of water. The dealer maintenance dept. The last time I spoke to them, and for the first time in 8 years, of complaining of this problem, the service manager said it is because the engine is mounted sideways, and when the water hits the fan belts it causes it to slip, which makes it seem like the engine has died. On 10/20/2018 I have reached out to general motors and got no place, they said that the dealership suggest that I bring it in for them to diagnose the problem, and for which I would have to pay for that, and any repairs that is needed, because it is out of warrantee. …
Our 2008 Buick Lucerne was in the hov lane traveling on 84 w toward hartford, ct. Without warning - no warning lights came on - the car started to decelerate. My daughter tried to accelerate and nothing happened; she then tried to brake to pull over and was unable to freely turn the wheel. She struggled to move to safety to the shoulder on the side of the road but then felt the steering wheel and brakes lock completely as the car stalled. When she attempted to restart the car to move to safety, the car violently shook. Since the car was still partially on the highway, my husband and I called the ct state police to request help while my daughters were waiting for aaa. When the trooper arrived on the scene he called us to say that the car was partially in the road and that two cruisers were there to ensure the safety of our daughters. …
