Pulling back the "Smart stick" to change head beams from lo to hi requires effort that many not be enough so ... The hi beam becomes a "passing" hi beam. Once achieved to hi beam and released, a second pull back of the "Smart stick" and releasing May turn off both hi & lo beams altogether! So pull back the 'Smart stick' a second time and release. Always works the second attempt.
