Changed low beam head lights last year. Both went out again at exact same time when starting. Lights don't due that saw a bulletin about a switch or modulator, looking for a recall & don't know if it's the lights only or a switch.
I was leaving to go to work at 9:45 pm and heading up my street when my lights quit working. I was not able to go to work due to no working lights and had to call out of work. This is not OK I have a little one and work responsibilities. Its a 2010 vehicle at 36941 mles there is absolutely no reason my lights should be going out. I just bought this car in March.
2009 Suzuki Vitara air conditioner compressor has failed upon 2 year ownership. It is not covered under the warranty per Suzuki dealership. While driving at normal speed, a popping sound occurs and the air begins to blow hot air. The events leading up to this was the highbeam/lowbeam lights burn out within 3 months of ownership. Then pulley system fails. Then the compressor. This all takes within 2 years. To repair the compressor, there are no "old" parts and it is only stocked with the Suzuki dealership. You are forced to pay their price for replacing unit, even though the air conditioner and filtering unit is covered under the 7 year/or 100000 mile warranty. The dealership told us that is was covered then 6 hours later they said it wasn't and refused to pay for the compressor telling me that they were not going to let me "win the lottery". Our Suzuki has 40,000 miles currently. …
I have had to replace my headlight bulbs so many times over the last five years, I have lost count. Now I am being told even though my mechanic replaced the bulb again, that I should replace both headlight assemblies at a cost of $240 each to solve this problem. I have seen so many complaints about headlight bulbs for many model year Grand vitaras. I think Suzuki should recall the 2007-2011 Grand Vitara headlights for the safety of their customers and overall customer goodwill.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. While driving 50 MPH, the headlights and daytime running lights failed and turned off, one shortly after the other. The contact replaced the bulbs several times, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to Suzuki of green brook (101 us-22, green brook township, nj 08812) who stated that both headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who noticed that the adapter, sockets, and fuses were all burned due to a high electrical current flowing into the assemblies. The adapters, sockets, and head lamps needed to be replaced. The mechanic did not know how to repair the underlying electrical issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they could not assist or escalate the case. …
Bought this used, but I have had to replace the lights, high beams, day runners since owning this Grand Vitara too many times. I know I have purchased over 15 different light bulbs as they keep blowing out? While driving, they are so dim and then they stop working.this is a hazard and these bulbs shouldn't have to be replaced this many times. Also while driving they blow, or stationary as well, I have made it a habit now to check them before driving since they go out as much as they do. Something needs to be done regarding this ongoing problem & it needs to be done asap. …
The head lights keep blowing out, especially the left front. I find myself changing this bulb every 3-5 months. Now the high beams do not turn on from the forward position at the steering wheel, they will work when the arm is pulled back with the high beam light indicating they are working, not the same in the forward position. I have checked the fuses and bulb. I am tired of these problems and it is a definite safety hazard. Suzuki should get on board to fix these reoccurring problems for every owner. But since Suzuki no longer exists in the united states, it will be up to NHTSA.
I have two issues, and have had these issues since buying the car about 3 years ago, when running the car cold the brakes do not depress the first time I brake, it takes alot of force to get the car to stop, if it is warmed up for 15 min or so it will not have the issue, but figures it should be addressed. My other issue is the headlights, they burn out constantly, I change then ever 2 or so months alternating between drivers side and passanger side.
