What owners report

The car turned off while driving on the highway. The car just recently within the last year or so started giving us electrical problems. The mechanic on August 14, 2025. Replaced the alternator, the second within 3 years. The battery replaced twice within 3 years, as well. Internal dashboard light flickers. The car fails to start several times a month. The driver & passenger seats is not stable, it shifts or moves. The battery's pos and neg poles are extremely hot. Steering wheel stiffened up hard to maneuver. The above problems are ongoing throughout the years. My wife hears a popping sound coming from under the hood.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds making a turn, the brakes malfunctioned making the vehicle very difficult to stop. Water is leaking into the passenger compartment to the point of pooling, I am constantly having to shop vac water out but, I feel this could lead to the floor pan rusting out and the seats falling through the floor. This is a GM TSB issue so, GM knows about the problem. There are many other Saturn Aura owners who have experienced this issue.

I bought my 2008 Saturn Aura xr used off a car lot last year around March I started having starting issues in May shortly after buying the car . I have replaced the starter battery & other costly things but still have the no start no crank issue with my car it's still driveable but when the car heats up my car wont start until after the car cools for about 30 minutes to an hour my car is not showing signs of overheating this problem is very stressful & dangerous I'm tired of being stuck when I go places also sometimes my car doesn't go past 20 MPH & I have to pull over shut the engine down and wait 15 minutes & my driver seat stopped working

I was adjusting the seat height as I was cleaning the vehicle, and I heard a snap/pop sound. The right side of the seat was not being supported up and I could also jiggle the side forward and back. The only position that feels OK is completely lowered, but the right side still can move slightly both forward and backward. I have removed the seat from the car and there is a weld failure of a tube that extends across the front of the seat, and on the back of the passenger side, a bracket connected to a steel tube snapped from the tube. While I don't mind being low in the car, I am concerned that the driver side May give way.

Drivers seat track broken. Weld between a cross tube and the tracks broke which appears to be a common problem with GM cars of a certain type during this same year as well as before and after 2007. Seat now is not stable, it rocks because it dropped down in the back left rear of the seat. Unstable drivers seat is not an ideal situation for maintaining control of the vehicle under certain maneuvers.
