What owners report
Air bags failed to deploy and vehicle is not available for inspection. Vehicle was a total loss and is in the proces of becoming proprty of Copart.com for auction (I assume). I hit my head very hard from the T-bone type of collision and my side airbags did not deploy. I have a severe concussion and internal brain bleed. ICU stay was required. Problem was confirmed by the police report, etc. Nothing has been inspected to the best of my knowledge in any great detail (I assume). No warning lamps, messgaes, or other symptoms prior to the failure.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. While driving 15 MPH, after opening the driver side window via the power window controls located on the driver's side door panel, smoke appeared from the door panel. There were no warning indicators illuminated. When the contact restarted the vehicle, the smoke disappeared. An independent mechanic informed the contact of a recall involving the power window control unit. The dealer removed the door panel and diagnosed that there was a fire inside of the driver side door panel. The power window control unit also needed replacement. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The contact mentioned that he did not receive the recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 12V491000 (visibility). The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
2007 Pontiac Vibe has continuously produced a check engine light with code p0741-torque converter clutch. The vehicle acceleration is sluggish at times. This check engine light has come on at least 5 times, at which time I sent the vehicle to a GM dealer for repair. The vehicle was repaired twice under warranty and is in the shop a second time out of warranty for the same check engine light. Recently the GM dealer has been keeping the vehicle for at least one work week and has never produced any document showing any work was completed on the vehicle. Whenever I complete a longer trip I.e. 60+ miles the CEL will come back on. I am not getting a straight answer on what is wrong with my vehicle. I have been assured that all parts and labor related to this error code will be taken care of free of charge because the preliminary incidents happened under warranty. …

I had my valve cover gasket replaced fuel injectors serviced and transmission serviced on 12/26/2022. When I picked my car up on 12/29/2022, I was checking my brake lights when the car started Idling up and down on it's own and the check engine light came on. I called the dealer and was asked to bring the car in and they would check it out. I returned on Jan. 2nd 2023 to address the concerns with my car. I arrived at approximately 0730 am. I WAS IN FORMED THAT MY ECM/PCM WERE FAULTY AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I was my understanding that the 2005-2008 Pontiac Vibes were under recall for this issue. Would like confirmation on this subject. Concerned Owner.

Since purchasing in 09/2013 driver's side front window has been grinding when lowering with power window switch. Did not seem to be hung right inside the door but always completed seal when closing. Sounded like a piece of plastic was caught between the glass and door. Took apart, did not see any thing. 01/2015, window would not roll down the final 2 inches. Figured it was due to cold weather. 02/2015 after parking in driveway with window down, went to open driver's side door to get out of car. Door was stuck. Shut door, applied normal (minimal) force to the door in the area of the door handle (was not pressing on glass) and driver's side window shattered, leaving glass inside the door and inside the vehicle.
I bought this car August 2005 and it always had a start issue. It just wont turn over, but this problem can go for a couple of days before starting again. It will start fine some days and others it won't. Also was in a car accident rear ended a van and smashed up the car but the air bags didn't deploy at all. My insurance company stopped counting the damage after it hit $10,000. It was at an angle versus just straight on. Car has less than 20,000 miles on it. Main concern was the air bag didn't go off when the collision happened. Luckily everyone was fine. But what is being done about this two problems?
