I have a 2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum with a faulty infotainment system. The screen has not worked since the day I took delivery of the car, the dealership assured me only a simple update would be needed to fix the issue. However, several months and only 3k miles later, I've had the screen replaced on the car. Unfortunately, this has not fixed the issue, it still malfunctions. (Photo attached is a month after the replacement) From small pixel, to green lines, and even completely blacking out. The volume stops working, the backup camera done engage, and the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. I have been to the dealership over 5 times for this issues and have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs multiple times, and yet I still have a faulty infotainment system. I am not sure why this is happening but I know I am not the only one. …
The vehicle suddenly lost motive power due to an engine/throttle control failure consistent with defects described in NHTSA Campaigns 26V081 and R25A8/R25A9/R25B1. It entered limp mode and became unable to accelerate. The vehicle is available for inspection. This created a safety risk because the vehicle was stranded in extreme heat for several hours with no access to water or shelter. I became overheated and physically distressed while waiting for assistance. Nissan would not tow the vehicle, so it sat overnight at a warehouse before eventually being transported to a dealership. A dealer confirmed the vehicle entered limp mode but did not complete the recall repair. The vehicle has now been at the dealership for four days without inspection, and I was told it should not have been towed there, so they will not prioritize it. …
While operating the vehicle, the electronic shifter assembly failed completely, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the desired gear. The dealership diagnosed the issue as an internal electrical/mechanical failure of the shifter assembly and cited "sticky residue" near the center console as the cause, subsequently denying warranty coverage. This design places highly sensitive, non-sealed electrical shifter components directly adjacent to the center console cup holders. Under normal, foreseeable cabin use, any minor environmental moisture or fluid proximity causes immediate, catastrophic failure of the shifting mechanism. This is a severe safety hazard as it can leave the vehicle abruptly stranded in active traffic, prevent the driver from placing the vehicle into 'Park' securely, or trap occupants in an unsafe location without the ability to move the vehicle out of harm's way. …
On oct 17,2025. While driving 35 mph on my to drop off my niece to her doctor appointment. My new 2024 Nissan rogue started to shake and engine light started to blank and cut off power and stopped on the road. Putting our lives at risk for accident on the road. Error Code : P2563 and P2565. I took it to the Dealership Antwerpen Nissan in clarksville, MD. Were I purchased the car brand new in 2024. The system check showed that Nissan Turbo had failed a defective safety recall and I need a New engine for my car after less then 1 year. The dealership would not honor this dangerous safety recall issue from Nissan has on the Turbo engine as there is a active recall on 2022 - 2024 Nissan rogue on the VC- Turbo Engine. Nissan and Antwerpen Nissan have not given me any help to fix this defective turbo engine that is putting a lot of drivers like myself at safety risk for a accident on the road. …
I have tried without success to have Nissan Consumer Affairs assist me with an ongoing issue with my vehicle that started in February of 2026. The check engine light coming on and sending various codes related to system too lean. It was repaired in March of 2026 only to come on again this past August of 2026. Dealership in Crystal Lake Illinois M'Lady claimed it was repaired only for the light to come on again. They still are not sure why it's happening. They've had master technician from Nissan come and still cannot resolve the issue. The case manager at Nissan consumer affairs is extremely rude and unhelpful. She refuses to help me get the outcome desired with this case. She hasn't even bothered to contact the dealer where my car is to inquire about the updates or services done to the car. …
The Specific Defect: My vehicle has two active federal safety recalls: NHTSA Campaign 26V080 (internal engine bearing failure causing a severe knock) and NHTSA Campaign 26V081 (electronic throttle body malfunction). The Dealer Violations: Nissan McDonough officially diagnosed the engine as faulty but refused to execute the free engine replacement under the campaign. Nissan South Morrow attempted to charge me retail out-of-pocket prices for the recalled throttle body, they did not replace it, they only conducted the OMC (?) The service manager explicitly refused the recall by claiming a code for a "throttle valve door" is not covered under the throttle body assembly campaign. Federal law explicitly mandates that when an active safety recall is present, manufacturers and their franchise dealers must complete the repair without charge and frame. …
The rearview backup camera intermittently fails, displaying a solid black screen when shifted into Reverse, creating an immediate backover hazard in direct violation of FMVSS 111. The infotainment system is confirmed stuck on factory launch firmware SQ3A.220705.003.A1. This failure exactly mirrors NHTSA Recall 24V-748 (Nissan Recall R24B3) for 2024 Rogues. Nissan Consumer Affairs (Case #[redacted]) has refused diagnostic or software update assistance because the vehicle is marginally outside basic warranty (~37,500 miles) and this specific VIN was omitted from the initial recall population. The manufacturer is demanding a $180 diagnostic fee to inspect a documented federal safety defect. Video link - [redacted]
