1.Frame bracket has rusted out and dealer only sells whole frame. VERY EXPENSIVE *It is obviously an issue which has not been addressed but has been *noted on internet. (went after market to repair still at $775!) 2. Airbags system light now on and was on recall in the past. Dealer will only look at it for $100. * Noted on internet as a continuous issue for some. 3. Cruise Control on past recall. Has not functioned since dealer fixed in recall. *Still turns on by itself and will not go off unless I turn vehicle off. **Definite safety issue** 4. Parking brake not functioning properly was also on recall. If I use it then it will not release all the way and continues to drag. USELESS. Have had repaired 2 times by mechanic since recall. 5. Transmission replaced on SILENT recall with extended warranty. Had issues from almost the start. WHY would I purchase another Nissan of any type? …
My car has started leaking water onto the driver's side floorboard. I thought it might be from the sunroof and cleaned out the channels on both sides of the car. There was a recall years ago about a harness causing a problem with leaking water and possibly causing electrical problems. I took the car in for the repair. They told me that they fixed the problem. My car has started leaking again as it rains. The leak is getting worse and I need some advice. I am retired and have very limited funds. Sincerely, [redacted] ph# [redacted]
Front passenger side door handle failed - door could not be opened. Nissan had issued an service campaign that covered repairs if the issue happened by 72,000 miles. Issue occurred at 74,000 miles so refused to cover the cost. This was a safety issue if I needed to escape from the vehicle from that door. Due to the safety aspect, Nissan should be issuing a recall for the lifetime of the vehicle. Driver side door handle had started to fail at time of repair and had to be replaced also. Again, Nissan refused to honor the service campaign.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the driver and front passenger side doors locks failed. The contact was unable to unlock or open the doors from inside or outside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the failure. The dealer replaced the door locking mechanism, but the failure was not corrected. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 75,000.
My band new 2008 Rogue was hit by another car. My car was not moving and the other car backed into my car going about 5 miles per hour. My bumper was completing dented inward on the passenger side. My headlight also needs to be replaced. This is the second time my new car has been in an accident for a minor fender bender for a long period of time.
My driver side door just stopped working/inability to open the door from the outside. Per local Nissan service center, it is something to do with the accelerator. I've seen this problem come up on several online forums when I googled Nissan driver side door recall and it looks like Nissan had a voluntary recall for Nissan door handles in the past.
Got into a car accident going less than 30 miles per hour. Cause over $6,000 worth of damage. The car was in the shop for over 2 months; waiting on parts for a band new car currently in mass production. Had to replace both air bags, both driver and passenger seat belt, bumper, head lights and most of the front of the car.
In cold/freezing temperatures when attempting to open a door the actuator cables become disengaged from the door handle, disabling access to the car from that door. The door is able to be opened from the inside but not the outside. In 2013 both front doors malfunctioned in this way. It cost $500. Per door to fix by gutting the door, reattaching the cables and putting the door back together. No parts, just labor. It happened again December 2013. It is a known problem for Nissan and Infiniti. There has been an unannounced extended warranty offered to some customers, but we were deemed ineligible by Nissan due to being 2nd owners and mileage over 100,000 miles (we bought the car used with 101,000 miles). This is a safety issue due to potential access problems from the outside of the car in the event someone is trapped inside. At present we have three doors disabled and cannot afford $1500. …
While driving ~65mph on the interstate in steady traffic on dry asphalt, the passenger-side rear door window "exploded." the passenger seats were in the down (flat) position; most of the glass fell in to the car, but enough blew out of the car to embed in/scratch the exterior paint. Nissan dealer in the area of our travel vacuumed the glass out of the car and loosely covered the window space with masking tape and plastic seat covers (the kind used to cover the seat for transport and/or garage work). Since this was a road trip several hundred miles from home, we had to reinforce the plastic cover job with heavy cardboard, additional plastic, and tape so we could drive the interstate and protect the car from further damage, wind, and rain. …
2008 Nissan Rogue: back rear window behind the driver's side exploded sending glass all over the car and on the driveway. The car had been driven about 15 prior to the incident. I reported the incident to the Nissan dealer where I purchased the vehicle. He would not even talk to me. He said it was not under their warranty and that it belonged to me and the bank now. I turned it in to my comprehension insurance and had the window replaced. The glass hit the seat so hard that it embedded about 2 inches deep into the seat. The seat cover had to be replaced as well. Also, the paint on the door was scratched from the glass coming down the side of the car. I had to get the vehicle fixed myself (with insurance) at a cost of over $1900. …
