I have Change the battery every year for the last 3 years at no charge from Nissan. This year the battery acid came out and make some damages , which Nissan fixed at no charge due to (Collateral damage) Car stops accelerating out of nowhere even with the battery exchange Yes, Nissan service center has confirm that my car is not the only one having this issues , even there's cars that get battery exchange every 8 months . Nissan service center has checked this issue, but they just rather change the battery instead of checking why this is happening . decrease of acceleration starts around month 9 or 10, the difference right know is that even with the battery exchange is still happening.
Vehicle continues to rev engine high upon starting. Causing service engine light & traction control warning light to turn on. Does so after sitting. No one has been able to diagnose. Once codes are cleared, light do not go back in for days/weeks. Little acceleration will occurs. Engine seems to over heat in hotter weather. This was after sitting in park for a min. Of 3 hours. Never after driving.
The Juke has had intermittent stalling and no start issues. The car has stalled while in motion as well as parked at idle. Once it stalls, it will not immediately start again. The dealer has been unable to determine the cause, despite having to pay for towing several times. The local abc affiliate has done at least two reports of other Nissan owner experiencing the same problem eluding to a heat related issue. If that is true, the temperature is cooling off here in the desert I'm afraid I will not see this problem until spring and the warranty expires. Nissan has refused to repurchase the car to this point. Without my agreement, they have opened an arbitration case offering me $1500 "for my inconvenience". The car has lost more in trade-in value than what they've offered..going through minimal carfax reports on jukes, I've found a high percentage of jukes with similar problems. .
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 Nissan Juke. The contact purchased a new vehicle, but it did not have a temperature gauge. My car died while rolling through an intersection, on a major highway in san angelo texas on December 12th, as I was about to make a left turn. The power down started with the xm stereo, then lights, then the engine died. Steering did not lock up because I was able to steer to the side of the intersection and turn the steering wheel. I turned on hazard lights and attempted to try to start the car. The car and the dash did not act like they would when the car had a dead battery. Lights would not come on when I pressed the start button. My door locks would not work, windows would not work, sun roof would not work. After several attempts and about five minutes wait time, the car started. The first mechanic looked the car over and could not find anything wrong. He checked my key battery, also. All connections were good, battery was good under the hood and in the key fob. …
Just pulled out from a stop at an intersection, vehicle made a "clunk" sound and the engine and all electrical quit. Coasted to a stop and did a walk around the vehicle. When reentering the vehicle and closing the drivers door all electrical came back on and vehicle was able to be started. Took it to dealer next day, and they found two inactive codes. P181d engine system u1405 engine torque signal they kept the car for the weekend and had shop lead mechanic take the car home over the weekend and drive it. Released the car to us on Monday afternoon after one last test drive and code check. We were not really happy about the results of them finding nothing wrong with the vehicle as this is a situation with the vehicle just shutting down in traffic could be unsafe to say the least. The only question we were asked after the weekend was if the battery had ever died. …
A couple of weeks ago on my way home from school I could smell something burning. I stopped my car and started looking around to find that the front passengers seat was smoldering and burning a hole in my backpack, toque and the seat itself. The seat warmer switch was in the off position. My dad has since disconnected the wiring to the seat warmers on both drivers and passenger sides. This seems to be a safety issue. Has there been other complaints like this for these vehicles? We have not been to the dealer, we have contacted Nissan and were told the following "Your vehicle is out of warranty and therefore is not our problem" The car has 170,000 kms on it but this is a safety issue not a warranty complaint.

The dealer was notified of the failure however no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V418000 (Electrical System). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.
