A day after taking vehicle for manufacturer's recall awf40c-f 00 s 59 repairs filler hose had to be changed because it could cause a fire. When consumer was driving about 40 MPH engine started jumping. Then, caught on fire just like it said in recall. The vehicle had exhaust leak at the manifold. The consumer says he does not know the cause of the fire.
The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer to have recall 00v-419 performed, but the dealer did not have the parts available for repair and was put on a waiting list, the consumer was told that the vehcile was still safe to operate until the parts came in, but prior to the parts coming in the vehicle caught on fire while parked (franklin insurance company). In warm weather, my car vents a terrible amount of gas fumes into the interior of the vehicle (particularly when A/C is on). This is a terrible problem and the dealer cannot fix it. In my opinion it is very dangerous, especially here at high altitudes in denver when tremendous pressure builds up in the gas tank which appears to be causing this problem. This is second vehicle of this type that I have had with this problem. I also had a 1995 Nissan quest (the same car - Nissan version) which did this. It got so bad that the dealer kept putting me in a rental car until they could fix it (which they never did). Nissan ended up buying the car back. I thought that I just had a "lemon" (an isolated incident) and bought the Villager because the sliding seat system in the car is necessary for me (it is the only car that has one, namely, rear seats that are on tracks/rails). …
Vehicle has stalled without warning at least 12 times over several years. This happens at any speed and has always happened in hot weather. The last several times were on a busy, curvy highway with no room to pull off road and almost LED to an accident. The Villager's fuel pump becomes very noisy when trying to restart engine. After about 15 to 20 minutes it will restart. Please inform me of what the problem could be. It has never happened in cold weather. I am afraid an accident could happen. There is no warning at all.
Just purchased a used vehicle, in great shape. However there is a very intoxicating gas smell inside cabin of vehicle, after refueling and when tank is between 1/4 and 1/2 full I have had the vehicle 4 days, and I travel for a living and it is every time it gets to the 1/4 to 1/3 full range. I have two other friends that have the same problem with the same model.
Vehicle experiences starting problems,a sevice advisor stated the fuel line is poorly routed causing fuel to sit in the fuel lines, as the vehicle is being started the fuel has to work its way into the engine before the fuel reaches the point of ignition. Nlm
There is a strong fuel smell when starting vehicle. A noise can be heard from fuel tank area. Dealer stated fuel pump failed. However there is a recall campaign 00V419002 regarding fuel leakage of the fuel tank.
Consumer states there is a strong gas smell inside vehicle, vehicle was recalled and supposedly repaired in March 2001 for a gas tank problem, consumer believes that current problem May be related to the recall problem.
Fuel leak in engine compartment. Initial visits to dealer failed to identify this problem. Dealer identified problem on third visit. Problem was a failed rubber hose which was leaking gas under intake manifold.
Vehicle has stalled 7-8 times at any speed, dealer cannot remedy the problem.*akwhile starting the vehicle, consumer smells gas, the fuel pump failed, consumer had it replaced, and is seeking reimbursement.
