What owners report
I was pulling into a parking space and had almost come to a stop when the vehicle suddenly lurched forward & hit a (vacant) store front. I feel the vehicle accel- erated on it's own as I was applying the brake at the time, my foot did not slip off of the brake. The vehicle is equipped with "drive by wire" or, no cable is attached to the throttle body from the accelerator. The dealer repaired the front end of the vehicle and extensively examined the throttle system. No apparent cause was determined and they told us it May never happen again. We have traded the vehicle in since repairs were completed due to lack of confidence in it.
Tl contact owns a 2010 Grand Marquis. The vehicle was purchased brand new on October 13, 2009. While the contact was removing snow from the hood with a broom, she noticed that the roof had collapsed. The dealer advised the contact to inform the home owners insurance company that a tree fell on top of the roof. A report was filed with the manufacturer who advised the contact to return the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer removed the head liners, broke several clips and said that the vehicle assembly production was not a concern. The failure mileage was 2,410 and the current mileage was 2,524.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving approximately 35 MPH, the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the upper intermediate steering shaft failed. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the mechanic discovered that the subframe was rusted and corroded. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000.
Took car through car wash after winter and a large section of paint came off the hood..this is a florida car..it was the second winter in buffalo..also found other spots on car where paint is coming off...was looking for a newer Grand Marquis and a lot of them also had paint coming...all were the silver birch ...the paint doesn't appear to adhere to the primer...
I purchased the vehicle in October 2013, owning it for a couple of months I noticed where snow had started melting I could something grey and realized that the paint was peeling and I could see what I thought was primer or something I called the dealership bob boyd in lancaster, ohio since my car was still warranty with them which that got me know where. Then I called the Ford customer line to see if there was a recall on the paint.
Tl contact owns a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving over 50 MPH with the all windows down, the vehicle shook violently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer two times due to the failure; however, they were unable to duplicate the failure. The first time the vehicle was inspected was in November of 2007. The contact informed them that the windows were down when the failure to occured, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The Ford rep stated that the failure was due to wind turbulence. The failure mileage was 2,400 and current mileage was 5,500. Updated 6/2/08 the consumer also felt a vibration coming from the drivers seat.
As I was driving. 35mph my front wheel on the driver side had snapped off causing my vehicle to crash into a parked vehicle. Long story short. I'm going thru a financial crisis. My car was towed by aaa to my house. I notified my insurance company. Why did the police tow my car away from my house? Somebody needs to take care of this because I can't. Transportation is essential to me. Please I need help.
Paint started to peel in the front center of the roof, a small spot. I thought a stone or rock hit it. Then around the sides of the back windshield. This spring the hood started to peel also. First in one spot then in multiple spots. It starts by a bubble, then it pops and peels off in chips, which stick to the windshield at times. Then it starts to peel off in big pieces. At all times it peels down to the bare metal. It definitely appears that the affected areas(parts) are not primed. When driving you can see the paint start to lift off and let go. This problem seems it will not stop until the whole hood and roof are bare. Seat belt light does not go off when buckled. You can attempt to buckle and unbuckle multiple times it works and does not work. Some days there is no problem and other days it is an issue.
