What 2017 Maserati Levante owners say
Engine & cooling
I have owned this car for over 2 years now. It has been plagued with issues with the Stop/Start feature on the car. When I'm in heavy or slow traffic the car will shut off and may not restart like it's supposed to. It will sometimes shift into neutral or park and I will have to scramble to press the engine start button then shift the car back into drive. This will also happen whenever I'm approaching a yield sign where I may not be making a complete stop. I will be slowing down and the car will go into the stop/start and shut off and may not restart and may not be in drive when I'm basically rolling out into traffic. The Maserati website says that my vehicle was recalled for an issue that it seems like I'm consistently having however Maserati website for checking vin recalls days that my car has been repaired. …

Brakes
The contact owns a 2017 Maserati Levante. The contact stated while driving the arrived at a stop sign, the vehicle parking brake would engage randomly. The contact was unsure if any warning lights had been illuminated. The contact mentioned that the failure almost caused her vehicle to be rear-ended during ongoing traffic. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer did not provide a clear understanding of what needed to be repaired or replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
When driving and approaching a stop at under 20 miles per hour, the brakes will fail and reverberate making a recoiling sound if I hit a bump or small pothole in the road. At that time, I loose control of the car because all braking systems fail. The car will continue to roll out of my control. There are no warning lights and the emergency brake also fails at this time. It is through the grace of God that I do not run into a person, auto or property. Again, this is a, "Certified" vehicle which I paid an extra $2,500/year to assure the vehicle would be safe and all additional issues would have been resolved. I have scheduled an appointment and will have the car repaired. Please follow up. …
