What owners report

1. The central control display of the vehicle is often black and the map cannot be viewed while driving, which will cause tension and panic and make driving unsafe; 2. The lane centering of the vehicle often does not work, it cannot work normally, and it directly deviates to other lanes; 3. The automatic closing function of the car door does not have the function of preventing pinching. Several of my friends have already had their fingers pinched by the car door. I tried to communicate with them, but they did not check. You just have to be careful yourself, this has taken its toll on the body multiple times and without any warning lights. …

Due to the poor underbody shielding on these vehicles, the entire hydraulic system (lines, fitting, pumps, etc) of the Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) system had severely corroded and must be replaced. If this system fails, you lose your air suspension and makes the car unsafe in turning while driving causing you to lose control over your vehicle. My independent service center quote is for $10,000 (which is cheaper than Land Rover ~$15k). There is an active "suspension sensor failure" that does activate in the car, but this can be bypassed by the driver potentially causing more harm while driving. This issue is consistently the #1 or #2 issues with these Range Rover Sports and other Land Rover vehicles. There is no active recall for this major design flaw and there should be.

2020 Range Rover Sport · Feb 2026

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a prolonged and troubling service experience at Jaguar Land Rover Buckhead, related to my 2018 Range Rover Sport (approximately 49,000 miles), and to express dissatisfaction with the handling of a prior related incident. My vehicle has been the dealership approx. 2 weeks with no loaner and me missing days from work and not able to transport my children to school. For past context, In 2023, I experienced a faulty ground stud issue that left me stranded on the highway during my morning commute. I later learned this exact issue had been subject to a recall on the Discovery model - but not on mine - despite identical symptoms. As a result, I was issued a $675 Owner Loyalty Certificate (OLC) by Molly B. of Land Rover USA, which I appreciated, but which I believe did not fully compensate for the risk and inconvenience caused. …

To whom it May concern, my vehicle which is at 15,000 miles and about 18 months old, has been facing continuous failures on its electric and electronic components that affected the air suspension shutting down, emergency break locking up, sudden shut down of the middle main console, a shut down of safety features around mirrors and similar vehicle safety warning systems. The issues happen while driving. I took it back to my dealer several times and even the last time after service the car came back with an engine warning sign. I made multiple attempts with Land Rover to correct and stated that my family and I feel very unsafe and insecure not knowing what can break down next. When we asked if it is safe the company responded that we should make that determination without an engineering or technical background. …

My 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-514 (Manufacturer Recall D019), issued August 8, 2025, which remains unresolved as of today. The recall concerns a front suspension upper knuckle joint that may develop a crack, potentially leading to detachment of the upper suspension arm and loss of vehicle control. Despite the recall being issued approximately nine months ago, the remedy is listed as "not yet available." The dealer has confirmed no fix or inspection appointment can be completed at this time. No repair timeline has been communicated by Jaguar Land Rover North America. Because this recall involves a potential loss of vehicle controllability and crash risk, the vehicle has been taken out of service and cannot be safely operated. …

2017 Range Rover Sport · Aug 2025

A safety recall was issued in September 2025 for my vehicle. I contacted my local dealership (Pasadena Land Rover / Range Rover) and was informed that recall parts were not available. In the first week of December, the front right suspension began making a clunking noise, consistent with the recall defect. When I contacted the dealership, I was told that I would be required to pay out of pocket for diagnostic work, even though the vehicle has an open safety recall, and that reimbursement is not guaranteed due to parts unavailability. As a result, the vehicle cannot be repaired under the recall, and I am being asked to assume financial responsibility for diagnosing a known safety defect while continuing to operate an unrepaired vehicle.
