The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that there was unknown fluid leaking from the vehicle. There was an unknown amber warning light illuminated. The contact added water to the radiator and the warning light temporarily turned off but illuminated again. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear emission battery needed to be replaced. The mechanic noticed a leak inside the vehicle that was flowing onto the onboard computer of the vehicle. The mechanic determined that the windshield wiper box line was the cause of the leak. The water was leaking from panel number one. The leak started at the front windshield to the driver's side window down to the air bag and the hose connected to the windshield wiper box into the firewall pillar and to the rear windshield. The vehicle was not repaired. …

While driving on the interstate I released the cruise and slowed down when coming up on an 18 wheeler. When it was clear I began to change lanes to the left and tried to accelerate but the engine would not respond. About 5 or 6 seconds later it finally responded. This has happened about a dozen times at random. It has been in the dealers shop 6 times for this issue. The usually update the software and call it good but it keeps on happening. I had it in the shop this past January 2021 and a tech from Range Rover worked on it for about 1 1/2 weeks upgrading the software and said it was fixed. It happened 2 times since then so back to the shop I went. They returned the car on the 4th day stating they could not make the car shut down and there were no codes. …
Significant safety defect in 2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible regarding water ingress, documented in JLR Technical Bulletin LTB01227NAS1. Design flaws in the A-pillar and rear drainage channels allowed water to flood the interior, saturating the primary electrical wiring harness and destroying electronic modules, including the convertible top lift motor. Despite attempted repairs, the vehicle has a "parasitic battery drain," indicating permanent moisture-induced damage the dealer cannot resolve after 60+ days. SAFETY RISK: Saturated chassis-level wiring creates an imminent risk of short circuits and electrical fire. Since the flooding, the vehicle has displayed random warning lights (ABS, Traction, Transmission), signaling system instability. The battery's inability to hold a charge suggests constant, unintended electrical flow through compromised circuits. …
When I reverse in cold outside temperatures there is a very loud squealing noise. When turning wheel slowly left or right there is a loud grinding noise that gets louder when pressing the gas. When I turn the heater on over 2 notches a loud buzzing whistling sound gets louder the higher I turn the heater on. I have taken it to Land Rover and they tell me they couldn't find anything wrong but there is definitely something wrong.
At just a little over 58k miles the vehicle started making metal noises while driving. The vehicle will jump into neutral while driving and this was very scary! There are no warning lights or any error codes. This was checked and confirmed by a LandRover dealership in Roanoke- no fault codes. I didnt drive for another few months. Next drive was from VA to KY and the vehicle did the same thing on the highway, I was able to pull over after having a panic attack and almost being hit by other vehicles that were moving! I didnt drive it for another few months. Drove the vehicle 3 weeks ago, the noises and the shift in neutral happened again and I had to pull off the side of the road. This time gearbox fault light came on. This is very scary, this vehicle should be high tech enough to show error codes or warning lights and absolutley nothing from diagnostic check. …
First off, my VIN info on the first part of this form did not mention the my car is a convertible With that being said , the car was in my driveway in the rain ( I was working on the garage door so I parked it outside) Its the first time in been in the rain since I owned it. When I pulled it in from the rain I notes water sloshing in the back quarter cavities. My concern is submerged electrical , corrosion. The convertible has back sets and the floor boards are wet I know Land Rover is aware of the problem because they have a TECHNICAL BULLETIN about it (LTB01227NAS1) these letters and numbers was on top of the bulletin. I also went on line and noticed I was not the only Land Rover owner that has this problem. Because this is a convertible there is more reinforced steal on this car so corrosion after time can be a serious issue. Thank you [redacted]
Water ingress manufacturing defect caused major electrical failures, including all central console components & mold/mildew growth due to inconspicuous 1st leak. Official Land Rover dealership replaced windshield in 2019 under warranty based on TSB N221. Another leak occurred in 2020 during pandemic, but no repairs completed. The last water leak in 5/2021 resulted in water visibly dripping onto interior surfaces by windshield. Water shorted more components -- unable to start car without emergency maneuver in manual, couldn't lock or unlock, use windshield wipers, all due to electrical system failure from water damage stemming from manufacturing defect. Extremely concerned the next leak could damage airbag functionality, steering, headlights, or any number of components reliant on electrical connectivity. Car has been at dealership service center since 6/23/21. …
