Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge.
Electrical system › Instrument cluster/panel
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed between October 3, 2024, and January 23, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the steering wheel became firm, and the check engine and battery warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that simultaneously, the temperature gauge rose to HOT(H) and remained on HOT(H). The vehicle was turned off and was towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that the alternator had failed causing the power steering and the battery failures. The contact was informed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Yes, the vehicle and affected component are available for inspection upon request. -Due to the electrical fire risk, the manufacturer has issued an urgent federal directive stating the vehicle must be parked outside and away from structures until it is repaired. Because the manufacturer has not finalized or distributed a permanent replacement remedy, I am forced to store a known fire hazard near public spaces, putting my property and the safety of others at risk. Furthermore, a sudden loss of power steering assist while driving poses an immediate crash hazard. -Yes. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Mopar dealership for inspection on August 7, 2026. …

Our 2024 Jeep Gladiator caught fire under the hood. It is a total loss and my partner was in the vehicle when this happened. He'd just arrived to his destination and was incredibly close to be driving when this happened. This happened by another parked vehicle. This is still under investigation by our insurance and they've determined a cause. We had JUST had our battery replaced by the dealership as it was shorting out. After the incident we discovered this has happened to others as well. It's incredibly frustrating as this was our very first new car purchase and has put great fear into trusting we're safe. Not to mention the disruption and stress it's caused us because of this daily.
