Takata recall. I was involved in a accident on 9/10/2016. The air bag exploded and as a result I have broken ribs and caused a anjorysm and fluid in the lungs. Car was totaled. The accident was on I 30 in fort worth texas
I have contacted the Nissan consumers and filed a report approximately 2-months ago and was given an incident number. I had complained about several cracks on my dashboard in my 2007 Infiniti M35. My vehicle of low mileage and well maintained and kept in the garage. I have never utilized any other products on the dashboards. I have been reviewing several postings by other consumers that have been dealing with the same issue and the dealership refuses to install a new dashboard due to the age of the vehicle. This is a malfunction of production on Nissan Infiniti part and all those consumers affected should get a free dashboard replacement for the defective of part when car was made into production. To-date there's a recall on the airbag which no part still has come or delivered yet to the dealership. …
Tl contact owns a 2007 Infiniti M35. When the contact pushed the on/off button under the steering wheel to turn off the vehicle, it went in reverse at approximately 10 MPH. The contact sustained minor knee injuries. The vehicle stopped once it hit a pillar. The current and failure mileages were 3,196. Updated 03-07-08 the consumer also stated the airbags didn't deploy. The consumer stated the engine was still running after the crash, the vehicle was in neutral at the bottom of the hill. The incident was reported to the police, but no one came out, since it was on private property. The consumer stated after his wife parked the vehicle, she noticed the radio was still on, so she assumed the ignition was on as well. She opened the door, and reached for the ignition button while still standing on the ground outside of the vehicle hoping to turn off the ignition. …
"Takata recall" I was never notified by Infiniti that there was a recall for a passenger airbag on my vehicle. I found out on my own that a recall existed. I purchased and financed my used Infiniti M35 through the dealer and financed through Infiniti finance. Now I have been told that the parts on back order until 2017.
Takata recall my vehicle has been in the service dept since 10/31/2016 I was issued a rental car but I would like nothing more than to get the vehicle back that I am currently paying for. This is an inconvenience for myself and my family. Driving a rental is like walking on pins and needles. Being extra careful.
There are cracks all along the airbags in the front of the vehicle just like the previous recalled Infiniti models
Tamara recall notification of recall received 6/2016. Infiniti unable to repair due to parts. Finally arranged repair with infinit 1/3/2017. Now Infiniti says parts used to repair were for 2008 and later models. Part numbers installed 985617999e air bag inflator. B4a67eh50d harness kit sub. Repair invoice # incs10700. Infiniti of cincinnati. Dealership has tried to get information from Infiniti as to whether or not this part is acceptable for 2007 but cannot get response. Dealer indicates part appeared identical and there are no lights indicating the system would not function. The dealership provided a loaner for 2 weeks while they tried to get update from Infiniti. They were unable to do so. Dealership has tried their best at this point and I believe the issue lies with Infiniti. No parts specified for the 2007 model have been available. …
Takata recall (infinity) I received a recall notice from infinity back in May or June, 2015.the notice stated my infinity,m35x, 007, was being recall due to a passenger side faulty front airbag and could not and should allow anyone to ride on the front passenger side. I would be receiving a second notice in about 30 days telling me when to bring my car in for the repairs. I never received a second notice and in October I call infinity to ask them about there pairs to my car, I was told I would received a call the first of November tell me when to bring the car in. On phone call on notice in November. I call infinity back December 28th to inform them this had been go on for a good 6 months and I need my car repaired and I can not afford to drive my car while only being able to use driver's side seat. Once again I was told I would receive a call in 4 or 5 days that has not happen.
"Takata recall" this recall has been issued since May 2016. It is now October 2016. The initial letter stated that the passenger air bag May rupture under continued exposure of high humidity, and stated that the dealership is waiting on parts to perform the recall. It also stated not to allow passengers in your front seat during this time. Very difficult to do if you only have one vehicle to your house. I called infinit and there advice was "keep your seat pushed all the way back, and where a seat belt in the main time, call back next month the parts should be in". I find this highly unprofessional, and highly unsafe. When Toyota did a recall for faulty air bags of the same caliber they actually gave my friend a loaner car until the parts came in for them to repair his vehicle. At least they gave him options, this dealership is full of them selves and should be ashamed.
Takata recall: apparently recall was issued in May 2016 but I received the notice only around July 2016. I have inquired from my dealer and contacted Infiniti consumer affairs concerning date when the repair will be done. The repair has not been done and I called Infiniti of charlotte on 11/08/2016. I was told that the parts are not available and Infiniti does not have a clue as to when the parts will be available. I have put my Infiniti on a very restricted use driving only around 10 miles and I have not allowed any passenger to ride in the car when I drive it. This has been very inconvenient for my wife and me. The Infiniti dealership where I have my Infiniti service and maintenance is Infiniti of charlotte east independence blvd, matthews, nc 28105. NHTSA investigations
Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.
