On Friday 6/28/24 I turned my vehicle on to drive to lunch. I put the vehicle in drive and started to move forward out of my parking spot when the following errors flashed on my dashboard in succession: "Check Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist System", "Check Lane Departure Warning (LDW) System", and "Check High Beam Assist System" and then the steering wheel locked while the vehicle was still moving forward. I put the vehicle in park, turned it off, turned it back on and there were no problems. On Saturday 6/29/24, the same series of events happened in the evening when turning the vehicle on from park. On Sunday 6/30/24 I turned the vehicle on in the morning and backed out of my driveway. When I put it in drive and started going down the road the same series of events happened again. …

I was driving through town at a low rate of speed (20-30 mph) with 2-3 car lengths between me and the next vehicle. I continued through light to next light. This distance was on an upward incline. After traveling approximately 500 ft, I noticed the traffic slowing in front of me and took my foot off the accelerator to start to slow down. This is when the car suddenly accelerated (instead of slowing down as would be expected when traveling up an incline), picking up speed quickly. The car's response happened so quickly that I was unable to swerve to avoid hitting the car in front of me. I hit the car in front of me that was slowing down at the light which then subsequently hit several other vehicles that were in front of it that were also slowing/stopped for the light. The front airbag deployed as a result of the collision, knocking my glasses off. …

This vehicle has suffered two identical, catastrophic electrical failures causing an immediate and total loss of engine power while traveling at highway speeds. The first incident occurred after the engine was replaced under a Hyundai extended warranty. The dealership service department blamed that failure on a loose engine ground strap and released the vehicle back to me. On August 3, 2026, the exact same failure occurred for a second time while driving at high speed on the highway. The vehicle lost all propulsion, leaving me exposed to oncoming traffic with zero engine power. The vehicle was towed to a Hyundai dealership. The dealership identified a blown "Sensor 4" fuse causing an intermittent dead circuit, but they have been unable to locate the short circuit after two weeks of troubleshooting. …

The instrument cluster seems to fail more so in the hotter weather. The speedometer, RPMs and gas gauge just stop working altogether. This seems extremely similar to the issues of other Hyundai vehicles that were recalled. The blind spot monitoring turns on and off as it pleases and there is a message that comes up sometimes that say it has been turned off due to electrical failure. The HDMI port in the counsel does not work but half the time so using android auto fails constantly. The radio signal is very poor in the car, resulting in static and high pitched noises on the stations and cannot use regular stations. There also is a huge oil consumption and oil burn smell and leak. This also seems very common for other Hyundai vehicles that have been recalled. Having to put 4-5 quarts in per month and only drive it maybe 1,500 miles in that time frame. …

My 2020 Hyundai Palisade experienced repeated instances of the engine cooling fan continuing to operate after the vehicle was completely shut off. In one instance, the fan ran for about 90 minutes after shutdown. After the vehicle was driven again, it ran for approximately another 45 minutes after shutdown. On a subsequent occurrence, the fan continued running until it discharged the battery enough that the vehicle would not start. Southtowne Hyundai in Newnan, Georgia subsequently diagnosed the cause as an internal PCB block failure and replaced the engine-room PCB block pursuant to Hyundai Technical Service Bulletin 26-EE-007H, which addresses battery drain caused by continuous cooling-fan operation after the vehicle is turned off. The dealer installed PCB block part number 91959-S8000-FFF. The failure was intermittent and did not occur every time the vehicle was shut off. …
