Hello, I have a 2020 Hyundai Elantra [redacted] Vin. The car has a major problem with the steering and suspension at speeds over 45 mph. I am talking with [redacted] at this time after dialing [redacted] at Hyundai cust care (case #[redacted]). She told me she is on the West Side location. I asked where is that and she stated she is unable to let me know where. The car does not hold the road and the suspension and steering is not working well at speeds of 45mph or faster. This is a very dangerous situation and this year and model of Hyundai should be examined before someone loses control because of a defect made at Hyundai. [redacted] stated she does not have a recall for this problem and I am at a complete loss for what to do. She stated an appointment is not easily made until Dec 31st because of staffing issues. …
engine mounts have been replaced already twice and they keep going bad last time was over a year ago and now it's bad again making noises vibrate and this replacement was done by the dealership with parts from Hyundai apparently under warranty and now warranty is almost done worries me that in a year without warranty i have to replace them again something is really off with either the engine or the parts they are replacing
I bought a 2018 Hyundai gt sport 3 months ago. Since day one car has been stalling and having a hard time starting. I was on the highway doing 75mph and the car just turned off no warning. I called the dealer in my area let them know about the starting issues and the stalling issues with the car I took it in to them few days later. They kept it for 3 days and told me sorry we do not know what to tell you. Took it home and that day the car stalled on my way home. I took the car back to the dealer and they had it for 23 days and replaced the fuel pump and the injection system and still did not work. The dealer I bought it from replaced the battery, keys starter and alternator before I bought it and they did not tell me this car was having issues. The car is back at the dealer 3/7/2019 with stalling issues and rust build up on the bottom of the car. …
Just to clarify, the vin number claims my vehicle is a 2017 Hyunda Elantra... but it is a 2017 Hyundai Elantra LIMITED, which there are differences in the design/model of the vehicles. The vehicle was not inspected at time of purchase like originally mentioned to me in our agreement. (They only transferred my registration to the new vehicle) I had done nothing out of the ordinary to the vehicle, after inspection the vehicle then displayed a check engine light and would not start after leaving work for the day. It then began to stall every time I applied pressure to the brake or slowed down. After inspecting the issue at Empire Hyundai they said the camshaft had been sheered by the cvvt pin and extensive repairs were needed. This happened in November 2023 and I have not been operating the vehicle since. …
I was driving and would hear a squeaking sound when turning right. Then I started to hear rattling I pulled in my driveway that has a curb and noticed an object sticking out that looks like it should have been screwed into something. It ended up being the front right passenger strutt it exploded through its casing. Not only damaging the casing but the hood of the car. If I would have continued to drive on it I could have loss control of the vehicle and put me and others in danger on the road. I was unaware this was a reoccurring issue with this model until I did some digging on the internet it sounds like a manufacturer defect. Now I was going to take it to hyundai dealership but they are stating they have to do a diagnostic for 170.00 which you can visibly see the strutt sticking out the hood. …
I was driving normally down the road and all of a sudden I lost control and couldn't turn my vehicle apparently the control arm rusted from the subframe, causing me to swerve hit a curb and cause more damage to the front end. Thank God I was on a not so busy street! I could have killed myself or someone else all because this company's metal rusted out.
Anytime I hit a bump going at least 35 mph the back of my car jumps to one side or another. I've tried adding weight to the back of the car, less and more air in tires, new tires, but nothing seems to fix the problem. It has knocked me sideways on the roads and when on the highway or interstate it's gets worse as you are driving faster. Winter time I have to drive the least amount I can on the faster roads because it can get out of control. I read on hyundai forums that this has been a problem for this type of car. Some people said getting better shocks reduces the problem, but does not completely fix it. I'm worried I will get into an accident because of this. I can't afford to try new shocks, because it doesn't completely fix the problem. It is also wearing the tires much faster then they should. Consumer made several attempts to reach out to the manufacturer but no response. …
