Michelin tires xc lt4 p235 70s 15 purchased 12/18/2010 thru sears and now have 19,490 miles use as of 11/14/2015. Problem is sidewalls have substantial dry rot cracking. [redacted] Steering wheel started bumping then heard noise from passenger side front. Started losing control of vehicle. Made it to the shoulder. Inspected tire, tire failure tread had separated from cord. Changed to spare tire which was bald. However tread from failed tire had bent metal wheel well and was rubbing on spare. Made it to Mr Tire. Had wheel well bent back and new tire installed. We could have been severely injured, killed or crashed into another vehicle, hurting or killing them. My daughter and grandson were in vehicle with me. No ins claim filed. No police report. Mr Tire did not inspect failed tire as I had changed to the spare I still have the failed tire. I plan to take the tire back to Walmart where it was purchased and installed. However I do not want another uniroyal tire. If someone needs to inspect the tire please let me know so I don't return it. No warning.

While driving heard a loud humming noise from front of vehicle. Dealer found front hub bearing needed replacement. Drivers side was replaced under warranty on 2/20/03 (note: I'm the original owner and vehicle had 27,000 miles when problem first occurred). Same problem occurred recently this time on passenger side. Dealer replaced passenger side hub bearing on 3/15/04 and cost was split 50/50 with GM and myself (note:46,000 miles on vehicle). Furthermore this problem never occurred before with any other vehicle I've owned or any other non-Jimmy owners that I know of. From reviewing your complaints and talking to other Jimmy owners, this is a widespread problem and a known defect that should be fixed by GM.

My husband lost control of the vehicle it was two lanes going with vehicles driving at 60 to 70 MPH and there was no way pulling to the side we were hanging almost fell in a hole the vehicle was half way in the lane and half hanging . These tires could of caused a death and or a major accident. The tire's brand are wild country.

I was traveling down rt 33 in pa near near the snydersville exit when the car started shaking uncontrolably. It became very difficult to control the car. I pulled off to the shoulder. I walked around the car & saw that the hub cap was missing. The wheel was barely being held on the car by two posts with none of the nuts on them. Three posts had broken off. I learned from the tow truck driver that this is not an unusual problem with aluminum wheels. I mentioned the incident to my cousin and he told me it had happened to him twice. Evidentally, what happens with aluminum wheels is if all nuts are not tightened properly the aluminum vibrates losening the other nuts. I was towed to the dealership and they fixed the car for free. The manager of the dealership acknowledged that this does happen and that there's nothing that can be done to prevent this 100% of the time due to human error. …

Tl* the contact owns a 1998 GMC Jimmy. While driving approximately 25 MPH the spare tire detached from the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed the hoist that held the spare tire in place underneath the vehicle was corroded and caused the spare tire to disengage. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing; however, the dealer was called and stated the spare tire hoist would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I had the right front tire blow out which caused me to drive into a ditch. The doors lock and unlock by themselves (same with the windows and rear hatch). (tiresize: p205/75r15)( dot number: tire size: p205/75r15 )
