I bought this car 2010 Ford Taurus sel and have complained about sudden acceleration but the dealership was unable to duplicate but it still continues to do so when I least expect it. Then I noticed red fluid was leaking and the dealership found the seal was not properly sealed by the manufacturer. Then when I turned off the car the gear shift refused to shift and when it did after five minutes, I could not get my key out!....now the cd player is accelerating when I try to play my music, this car is a lemon.
The cd player went out in my Taurus limited. According to the dealer this has been an ongoing issue that Ford knows about. I have been waiting for over a month for the replacement, according to the dealer the entire center stack (nav/radio/Sync systems) have to be replaced at a cost of over $3000. Under warranty.
Bought a 2007 Ford Taurus, have had nothing but problems. Al hendrickson Toyota was the dealership. Tires were wearing out every 500 miles, each time they said it was the alignment. Have had many cars in my 40 years of driving. Told them the car must have been in an accident and I wanted another car was refused.. Then the engine blew up had warranty, the engine that was just put n is also no good I think their fraudulent selling practices should be stopped. I am an elderly female, disabled and cannot get to drs ect without a car.
Tl contact owns a 2007 Ford Taurus. The vehicle has tech international valve stems, model tr414. The contact noticed that the tires on his vehicle would flatten quite often. He took the vehicle to the tire shop and was informed that the flat tires were due to defective valve stems. The valve stems have not been replaced. The serial number was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 28,000.
We bought an 05 Ford Taurus in June of 05. The car has a poor ventilation system. You have to turn the control panel knob to max A/C to cut outside air from getting into the car. Otherwise if want heat or A/C you have to breathe polluted air into the cabin of the car. This a health hazard and design flaw in this vehicle. Their have been no accidents, deaths, crashes, fires, property damage, but possible health problems from breathing in outside vehicle exhaust which I think is very hazardous and should be addressed by Ford and it's design team. Please do something to make this company responsible to their customer's.
My 2005 Ford Taurus accelerates on its own every so often. When it accelerates, I try to brake, but the car vibrates very badly and does not want to slow down. When I do get it slowed down enough, I pull into a parking lot. I put it in park and the RPM's jump to 4 or over. I floor the gas a couple times. This seems to correct the problem, but it keeps happening every couple months for about the last year.
Water on floor of front passenger. Blower not working. Mold and odor on carpet, motor blower corrosion. Took to Ford dealer and they replaced the blower motor and aa control, sealed cowl and installed rainhat extender.
When it has snow or slush on roadway, I loose my braking ability and have gone through an intersection because I was unaware of this fault. I also asked the Ford dealership where I purchased this vehicle about this and they didn't have an answer. I also asked my local Ford dealership and they also didn't have an answer. Neither researched this as to my knowledge. This could have disastrous results if traffic was heavy. This is primarily in the winter when snow/slush is on roadways and temperature would be around freezing. It happens with low mileage 10-12 miles at the most.
