I have waited years to get the air bags repaired. My wife is scared to ride in the truck. Now the electronics have started messing up. Ford should have to pay me back some of what this vehicle cost because of poor quality workmanship.
Takata recall I was notified of the recall for my truck early in 2016. When I called my local dealer about getting it fixed, they told me they don,t have the parts and May take a while, but said the truck was still safe to drive. In the mean time I continued to drive my truck since it was my main mode of transportation for work. One night driving with a passenger in the vehicle that I was hit by another driver, something that was completely out of my control. Both driver and passenger airbag were deployed. My passenger was diagnosed with a minor concussion and still suffering from migraines. This recall has been for many cars and there are many others driving around with their and their passengers lives at risk. You can not stop someone else hitting you while driving along. This is a bug issue that needs to get resolved before more people get hurt or worse. …
Tl* the contact owned a 2007 Ford Ranger. While driving approximately 40 MPH, the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. Both air bags failed to deploy. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000. Updated 6/22/15
Takata recall, it has been almost 2 years since we got the recall notice. I have called the Ford dealership several times to check on parts. They say they can't get parts. My personal opinion, Takata should have to replace the vehicle if can't fix it. This is dangerous, my son rarely drives his truck.
Takata recall 16v-384 I received a letter from Ford on 4/16/18 stating that "a repair for your 2007 Ford rangers airbag inflator is available", and to call my dealer to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I have now called 4 dealerships and none of them have the parts to fix the airbag. I received the same letter from Ford for my 2009 Mercury milan over 2 years ago and I'm still waiting for parts for that vehicle. Wtf!!! Why send a letter if there isn't any parts at dealerships??? I do think that Ford motor company needs to be stepped on by the us government to get them off their collective gluteus maximuses and get this problem fixed or else face heavy penalties. Usually, when uncle sam calls, things get done. My 2009 Mercury milan has 15000 miles on it, has not been out of the garage since sept. 2017 because I'm afraid to drive it. …
Takata airbag 16s26 on the 12th of October 2018 I went to bill kay Ford in midlothian illinois 60445. They perform the recall and everything was fine on the 17th they called me and said they made a mistake and needed me to bring it back I brought it back on the 18th of October and every since then the airbag compartment has been making a grinding noise that I didn't hear the first time they installed it I took it back on the 23rd I showed them the video footage of the sound it was making two different workers sat in the truck and heard the sound they kept the truck for 8 hours and called and told me that they tightened everything down but it was still making the sound and it was nothing they could do about it.I tried to make a complaint with Ford motor company to have them instruct the midlothian dealership to take the airbag module recall out so I can go to a different Ford dealership …
Takata recall, NHTSA recall #16V384, manufacturer recall #16s26 my Ranger is in zone a (being it originated in california), as defined by paragraph 7 of the amendment to nov. 3, 2015 consent order issued to Takata by the NHTSA on May 4, 2016. Which means it's in priority groups 4-12. I have contacted the local Ford dealer: barber Ford in holland mi 49423 at [phone] with the NHTSA recall # as well as the manufacturer recall #. They confirmed is was a valid number. But said we don't have parts to replace. To my the best of my knowledge I have never received a recall notice from Ford motor company. Priority group 7 is supposed to be fixed by dec. 31, 2017 and I have never heard from Ford motor co. That my vehicle is involved in the recall. I am questioning whether Ford motor co is treating this vehicle in a timely manner being it originated in california.
