Tl-contact owns a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500..... Complaint...tires...general ameritrax tires.... Treading split apart on fron drivers side tire and tire blew out causing major damage to vehicle on main interstate at 70mph.... No recall on ameritrac tires at this time. December 11th 2017 tire blew out on main interstate.
While driving at speeds between 50-70 MPH I have run across small bumps or holes that cause either front wheel to shake uncontrollably causing me to have to reduce speed dramatically or even stop to get it back under control. I understand this is called the "Dodge death wobble".
While driving home from work one evening my truck started making the most awful grinding sound coming from the front passenger tire. Then my ABS light and serv 4wd light came on the dash. A few seconds later the tucked bobbled and weaved and I could no longer steer it. When I got out to look at the problem the wheel itself was resting on the hub assembly. Previous to this I've had to replace front end parts like crazy. New ball joints and I joints annually. Brakes twice a year, and it will eat up tires on the front. Also the truck will not stay aligned. I've contacted Chrysler and first they were very helpful, but then they started to give me the run around. I've had to have their tie rod end recall fixed several times as well.

Driving down the frwy at required speed when rt rear pass tire blew causing extensive damage to the wheel, rt rear panel & tailpipe. This tire had 3,000 mi. On it & we had chkd psig on all tires just previous to the blowout. This tire was a lt265/70r-17/10 terramax ht all position owl made by dynamic tire. Les schwab replaced it with one just like it. We had a 4,000lb arctic fox cab over camper on the truck at the time. Dynamic states there is not enough evidence of poor quality or anything else that would name them as the responsible party.
While driving at highway speed with a p/u camper on my 1 ton p/u. The right rear tire came apart damaging the bed of my truck and destroying my wheel. I had recently checked the tire pressure. The tire failed with the tread separating and side walls split in several places. The tire tread depth was 7/32" per perfection tire store manager. The tire had 37,851 miles on it.
