My husband and I were driving down south padre island drive and the truck started shaking from the front end. My husband lost control of the steering wheel and could not control nor stop the shaking of the truck. He had to slow down and steer to the side of the road. We hit a small pole and the rear bed was hit. My arms and legs were pretty banged up and bruised, so I sought medical attention. Every since the incident happened, our truck has not been moved because it will not pass inspection due to the steering and losing control problem. The truck shakes real bad and feels like it is falling apart when this problem occurs. So therefore, it can not be driven because of this problem. As I was traveling the highway, my engine starting smoking. I was extremely fortunate that I was coming up on a service center/grocery store in idaho. There was indication on my dash instruments that my truck was operating abnormally, other than the smoke sifting through the hood. Upon my pulling over onto the the side, I opened the hood with used of heavy gloves and a towel and checked to see if radiator had fluid as the indicator light had read normal. As expected, coolant spewed out. I immediately closed it and waited for it tobe towed into idaho falls to be checked by a shop that I was familiar with.
