The rear seat of my car was smoldering and giving off a lot of smoke and fumes with the exhaust problem. I was very alarmed since the back seat is very close to the gas tank. On the transmission and air conditioner both systems have had to be replced 3 or 4 times and usually about every 50K.

This has caused problems when trying to cross an intercetion and the trans, will kick out when I'm in the middle with oncomeing traffic. The air only worked for a little while after I got the car. Now it just blows hot air, and has a funny smell to it. The A/C system has failed several times, different dealerships have performed mx work on the system up to and including full replacement yet the system still fails on a regular basis. The system has again failed this week and the vehicle is no longer under warrantee. I had to also pay for system analysis and recharge at a A/C speciality repair facility this past summer due to the vehicle being out of warrantee. What options are available to me?

While driving about 30 MPH started to turn on the air conditioner and it did not work. Instead, hot air was coming out, consumer took vehicle to dealer where they said that condensor had a leak and that's why the A/C was not working. The condensor was repaired, but a noise was coming from the engine. Manufacturer had told the consumer that the A/C had been recalled before.
