I purchased a new Daewoo Nubira in June 2000. In May 2003 the check engine light came on and remained on despite numerous diagnotic and repair attempts. The light remained on for over a year. In January of 2004 I took my car for the now required emissions test, it failed due to the camshaft sensor. I purchased the required part, a camshaft position sensor, on 1/15/04 and paid a mechanic to perform the repairs. The light illuminated again within 3 days of repair. On September 12th, I received a notification of defect from Daewoo motoramerica, adressing the said camshaft sensor. One month later the car began to hesitate while I was driving, and would not accelerate smoothly, finally it in May, while I was driving on the highway, all the lights on the instument panel came on, the car began to shake and then just shut down. …

There aren't any events that LED up to the failure. I took my vehicle in for a routine check and was informed of the problem then. The front control arms on my vehicle are worn. I have gone through 3 sets of tires while trying to locate the part to fit my vehicle. My car swerves after reaching a speed of 30 MPH. I am unable to drive my car on wet roads because I am not able to control the extreme sliding that occurs. I have contacted over 50 dealerships in my area and outside of my area and have not been able to locate this particular part. Parts for my car are very hard to find and very costly.
