Takata recall - 16v-081 driver airbag light is on. Unable to register the vehicle due to inability to fix it since the Chrysler has basically abandoned this car. There is no expectation of the recall parts being made available. This car is now a loss to me since no one wants to risk driving it and harming themselves.

The back window has become detached and is hanging on by a thread. It becomes more detached when driving the vehicle. The silver seen in the photo is duck tape we applied to help keep it in place which is not working. This vehicle has been stored in a garage since purchase in new smyrna beach fl. Additionally, in the past two months the air bag indicator will not go off in the vehicle. Its like owning the [redacted] stepchild of Chrysler/Mercedes nobody knows anything. Help!
I was involved in an at-fault wreck on July 10, 2009. My foot slipped off the brake pedal when slowing down for a traffic light and I was unable to stop my slowing car. I crashed into the rear of a ups truck. My chest slammed into the steering wheel because the driver's airbag failed to deploy. The passenger's airbag did. The police and fireman were extremely shocked and it is written up the police accident report. I need help in contacting Chrysler concerning this incident. My car was only 4 years old and had only 46,000 miles on it. I am now disabled and can no longer work to support myself. The hospital sent me home from the emergency room and pain continued to worsen in my neck and lower back until I was forced to stop working after 33 years in the safety field. …
I had a accident on 09/07/2017, and the air bags deployed. Due to the deployment of the air bags small silver iron particles flew across my face and arms that came out of the airbags , and I have to severe burns from the air bags,
I was in a car accident on July 24, 2005 where I rear-ended a Buick rendezvous in my Chrysler Crossfire. I did extensive damage to the front end of my Crossfire and there was no airbag deployment on the Crossfire. I sustained minor seat belt injuries on my shoulder and across my stomach. I did call Chrysler to let them know that the airbags did not deploy on the car and they stated they would have the car and accident investigated. I learned later that the reason the airbags did not deploy on the Crossfire was that the release for the front airbags is in the frame of the vehicle and the only way to deploy them is to bend the frame of the vehicle. This is a major failure in that the Crossfire has such a low profile that there are very few cars that you could be in an accident with and then have the airbags to deploy.

NHTSA investigations
Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.
