Called Chrysler corporation about rear window separating from top. They said it would be replaced but I would have to go to a dealer for pictures and inspection. They suggested manahawkin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram rt 72 manahawkin, nj 08050 [phone]. My car was inspected and pictures were takened by dealer on 8/15/14 as per chryslers request. Invoice number chcs113759. I have a paper from dealer stating window is separating from top and will notify Chrysler with results. I received a call from Chrysler corp. Stating mine is not covered because it was not delivered in specified states. I could not understand the logic that certain states would be covered and others not when they were all made in the same locations. They problem exist on all the convertibles. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. While driving 45 MPH, the contact heard a loud wind noise and the rear window separated from the convertible top. The top was closed at the time and the failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that defective glue used was by the manufacturer and the convertible top needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but did not offer any further assistance. The contact was informed that a technical service bulletin was issued, but expired last year. The contact stated that he did not receive the technical service bulletin. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The back window has become detached and is hanging on by a thread. It becomes more detached when driving the vehicle. The silver seen in the photo is duck tape we applied to help keep it in place which is not working. This vehicle has been stored in a garage since purchase in new smyrna beach fl. Additionally, in the past two months the air bag indicator will not go off in the vehicle. Its like owning the [redacted] stepchild of Chrysler/Mercedes nobody knows anything. Help!
As many 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible tops , the rear window glass is separating from the convertible fabric. The adhesive has to be defective on all tops...now people are saying that 2008 are separating also....this is a very serious safety issue some windows have detached driving. Chrysler did recall tops for some cars, but only in a few states it is happening more then they have made it out to be. Please look into this as that was not a fair assessment to only a few cars when all 2005 have this problem... !..updated 08/13/15
Car was sitting in the driveway and back glass fell out and broke we had replaced this top once with our money as Chrysler and NHTSA wouldn't do anything about it this car has had recalls on this problem of the glass falling out and the glue failures but it seems only certain cars are repaired this car has been kept in a garage since the new top was installed and we took it out for a few days and the glue let loose what will it take to get Chrysler or NHTSA to fix this

My rear window is separating from the convertible canvas top. I contacted Chrysler as there is an extended warranty of 10 years or 100,000 miles: NHTSA sb 23035-11 rev a. I was told the NHTSA was for vehicles delivered only in certain states. What does the state have to do with a faulty adhesion problem? After a number of emails and phone calls Chrysler has turned down the request. Concerned there is a danger if the window comes out on the highway.
In 2011, the rear window in my convertible top became unglued from the top. Chrysler paid most of the cost to replace it, but used another defective top as a replacement. As a result, the window is again falling out. Chrysler now refuses to even discuss the possibility of any further assistance. This problem with the defective glue is well documented and needs to be addressed as windows flying out of moving vehicles could be extremely dangerous.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible. While driving at 50 MPH, the contact heard a clicking sound and noticed that the rear glass window separated from the convertible top. The failure could eventually cause the top to detach completely as the glass continued to strike the roll bar of the driver seat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,000.
2 weeks ago when I went to drive my car I noticed that the rear window separated from the roof. I proceeded to departed over the next day. I tried to reattach with an adhesive but it is falling. I found on line that the company had an extended warranty for this problem, I did contact Chrysler but the company stated that my VIN did not match the covered vehicles. Online I found that this continues to be an issue with other uncovered cars
