The steering of the vehicle is very tight and it doesn't spring back when turning the wheel on its own like most vehicles do . you have to manually bring your steering wheel back for the wheels to turn straight again..and this isn't normal by any means ... Also, The turbocharger in my vehicle isnt working correctly and is causing my check engine light to be on even after engine codes have issues have been repaired. I've changed air filters.. I've changed mass air flow sensors.. I've changed the intake manifold and the engine light comes back on after accelerating.. The engine code that keeps coming back on and returning is p0299.. this is an issue with the turbo boost.. And this is also something that has been recalled for other model Chevy lf the Chevy Trax.. …
Maher Chevrolet of St. Petersburg FL is refusing to fix a recalled item. They fixed the left control arm under warrantee in 2019. I brought it back the next day still hearing a noise and they said only the right side was bad and I was hearing a seat noise. I took their word for it although the noise never went away. Now 3 1/2 years and 10k miles later Tire Kingdom noticed that the left control arm was coming apart and was a safety problem. Maher said since they did one side the other side is no longer covered under warrantee and the would have to charge to fix it and wanted $150 just for a tech to look at it and tell me if that was the problem. Tire Kingdom couldn't help seeing the problem doing an oil change and gave me the info about the recall to contact Chevrolet about. My car has been sitting in my driveway for 2 weeks now waiting to see if a new or special recall can be issued. …
Both my control arms are loose and wheel baring is bad, plus a cracked catalytic converter. All of these are causing my car to be loud and burning smell, causing unsafe driving conditions for me and my children. Online states that the control arms are an issue with this vehicle make and model and have been recalled, however my VIN has not been recalled and I want to report this. improperly welded joints can fatigue and break, causing the lower control arm to partially separate from the vehicle. This can lead to a sudden loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash. I have not gotten in an accident, but was at risk of this happening. My car is being worked on and it will cost me $800 for these repairs for the issues related to the 2018 Chevy traxs. I would like this VIN to be recalled and receive a refund for the work done to my vehicle.
I was driving between 35 and 45 mph and ran over a manhole cover. The rear of my vehicle began to fishtail. I pulled into a gas station and upon attempting to leave my vehicle failed to drive forward. The car was still on but would not move forward. I had it towed by flatbed to the local chevy dealership where it was determined that the rear suspension swing bar has separated at the weld. If I were traveling at a higher rate of speed on the highway this could have been deadly. The current recall for this problem only mentions the front control arm but for the same issue. My car has been inspected by my insurance and the incident does not match the damage and I'm fighting to not have my vehicle considered totalled. There were no other warning signs or issues prior to this.
My lower control arm weld has cracked. It was checked shortly after purchase and passed inspection at the Chevy garage in Elkins, WV. Now the weld is cracked on both driver and passenger sides and it making a clunking sound. I do not feel safe to drive this vehicle. This problem should of been fixed when the recall came out, they should of replaced with new parts. My husband Inspected the problem and found the cracks. I took photos to document it. We found the problem on [redacted] but has been clunking for over a month
There are known issues with the control arms on these vehicles and I have had a clunk any time I hit the slightest bump or crack and it is especially bad when my wheels are turned. There is no recall linked to my vin but this is the exact issue that has been recalled on other vins. This makes driving the car with my children very unsafe.
I'd it's a 2018 Chevrolet Grad LT for almost two years. My engine light been cutting off and on since 5 months since I'd the vehicle. Now my stabilitrak light come off and on with showing the hazard light on the dashboard. I just want to be safe if the vehicle has problems with suspension issues to check out.
On 7/11/19 I took my vehicle into the dealership because I received notification that my car was under recall. Recall #a182202370. The car was inspected and found not to be impacted by the recall and I left. On 7/19/19 made a u-turn in an empty parking lot, I heard a loud crack and then had a hard time steering the vehicle. The right-side passenger tire of the vehicle hit the curb and then the tires were turn sideways. I called and had my car towed back to the dealership because I assumed the problem had to do with the recall. The service manager from the dealership called me to inform me that there was $2200 in damage and that the recall had nothing to do with the accident, they suggested I call my insurance company. My insurance adjuster went to the dealership to inspect the vehicle on 6/30/19, was told that the vehicle was not udder the recall. …
The dash and radio has gone out since purchasing the car 9/2018. I called dealer they said they awaiting the update from GMC. Yet today this have I received a update on the computer in the dash. It's been 14 months. They radio just shuts off and won't come back on. I have taken it to service department by the time I drove there the radio came back on. I had the car serviced and the alignment was out. No one told me. I had to look at the service paperwork myself to find that there was a recall on the control arm weld. I had the recall fixed in 6/2019. On 11/4/2019 I went to get in my car and driving and the brakes felt like they went out. Then the ABS light came on and said I needed it services. They dealer still have my car and is stating it's a wheel sensor and not covered under warranty. A light over the license plate broke and I had to have that replaced. …
