I applied brake and pedal went straight to floor without any stopping. I had to steer into a ditch to avoid a collision resulting in more damage to steering system, frame, windshield and body. This was complete brake system failure and yes is available for inspection. I was in a very rural area at time and was able to avoid a collision however, if I had been in city or on highway it could have easily resulted in injury or fatalities. The problem is currently under federal investigation and has been widely reported as a serious problem which may soon result in widespread recall. The vehicle has not been inspected yet by dealership or anywhere else as it just happened 18 hours ago. There were no warning lights or chimes before the incident when pedal went to the floor. …

I was taking a left from a stop sign onto a busy boulevard and as soon as I had passed the median I started losing acceleration and it felt like the transmission or engine was glitching or lugging. The engine began to try restarting itself possibly from the auto start-stop however I was now almost at a dead stop in the left hand lane in the dark. I promptly attempted to turn my hazards on, but they would not turn on while it was trying to start so I held the brake pedal down for light. I tried to turn the truck off and turn it back on however the hazards still did not work, none of the gauges went off when the truck was turned off, IE gas and voltage gauges were stuck. After attempting to put it into park and drive a few times I was finally able to turn the truck off, open the door and close it. …
The 2024 silverado with 13.4 infotainment system is unpredictable and often looses paring with iphone during driving. This is a major distraction because then to reestablish pairing for directions from apple maps or google maps chevy tells me you need to stop your vehicle. Put it in park. Re-establish pairing, te-enter destination and have it car play. This is 10x more distracting that someone using their phone non hands free. Furthermore gor music it often defaults to sirrus radio and to get itvto am or fm tequires you to step through many buttons on the steering wheel or touch an extremely small button like 3/16" in diameter to change to either am or fm. Again, a huge distraction. My 2016 chevy cruz and 2017 silverado worked flawlessly with out distraction. …
Since purchasing this truck 06/30/2024; during the 9100 miles driven, electrical issues such as check engine, EWS needs to be serviced, Forward Collision Service, Stereo screen freezing up, Tire Pressure stating air is needed but checked air pressure, it is where it should be, Right Signal Trailer service needed but not pulling a trailer. Three times after starting the truck it failed to go into reverse, stuck in neutral. Two of the three times it was able to reset after 10 minutes of shutting down the truck and restarting. Third time had to get the truck towed due to unable to reverse out of parking spot. When driving it seems as if the truck is stuck in 2nd gear while trying to accelerate, rough driving at times. When car turns off it makes knocking noise and sounds like it is trying to turn off electrically. Tailgate would open while driving even though shut and checked. …
The radio cuts out which then kicks my cell phone off/navigations kicks off every few minutes. On one occasion the speedometer stopped. This cutting out makes it unsafe to drive because you are messing with the radio trying set up phone again or trying to get the navigation going again etc instead of paying attention to the road. over the past 1 plus years i have vearved off the road. i have had my truck in for repairs 7 times in 3 different dealerships. they have replaced the radio twice (found out later the 2nd time was a lie), a coaxial cables , and amplifier. i am told the same problem is happening on numbers GM vehicles and GM does not have a fix. I have requested my money back 3 times due to the safety of driving as is.. Gm have given me the run around all through it. they are aware of the problem but do not know how to fix. …
On 04/16/2026, while driving, vehicle received and completed a software/firmware OTA update. A second update completion prompt was received while still in motion. Shortly after, while stopped at a traffic light, the auto-start/stop system re-engaged and the vehicle appeared to restart normally. Upon stopping to refuel, remote key fob auto-start failed to respond. Vehicle was started manually and driven to the next location. On arrival, remote key fob auto-start failed again. Used interior push-to-start - vehicle started but displayed an active Check Engine Light. …
This vehicle is a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 featuring a 6.2L V8 engine and a 10 speed transmission, currently at 58,136 miles. The vehicle was experiencing a severe shudder. An official GM Technical Assistance Case (TAC) engineering case was opened on July 30, 2026 confirming a verified DFM cylinder deactivation or valve train malfunction. However, on August 21, 2026 the dealership falsified the repair log by printing 'Concern Not Duplicated' to the manufacturer, while physically installing an unapproved aftermarket Range Technology DFM Eliminator module into the vehicle's engine harness to artificially override the factory emissions and cylinder deactivation programming to mask the mechanical failure. …
