Upon starting the vehicle for the second time one day, when placing the automatic transmission into 'D' - Drive, it began to roll backwards as if it was in Neutral on a slight decline and the brakes had to be applied to avoid rolling downhill backwards. After attempting to place it back into 'P' - Park and back into 'D' - Drive and attempting to try 'R' Reverse to try to get it to move forward properly, it would not go forward. After several tries and restarting the vehicle completely, it finally attempted to move forward but would only do so at a reduced speed and would not respond to the accelerator pedal beyond a certain amount. …
1) The vehicle experienced a rear axle/rear-wheel lock-up after the recall-related repair was performed and the same diagnostic codes associated with the initial repair reportedly returned. 2)The rear axle/rear wheels locked while the vehicle was being driven on the highway, creating a significant loss-of-control and collision hazard. A sudden drivetrain/axle lock-up at highway speed causes the vehicle to stop or behave unpredictably, potentially resulting in a severe collision 3) Yes. Huffines Chevrolet performed the initial recall-related repair and subsequently the same diagnostic codes reportedly returned after said repair 4) The vehicle has been inspected by 2 Chevrolet dealerships, including Huffines Chevrolet and El Dorado Chevrolet/Motors. The matter has also been reported to GM Customer Assistance under Case No. 110236243 5) Yes. …
With only 70,000 miles on the truck it started to have a hard shudder and wheels locking up. During the wheel shudder it would shift hard as well. We took it to a shop and they said it was our Transmission control module and that the transmission had metal shavings and would fail soon. They also said doing any service to these transmissions can cause failure. We were informed that the dealership is aware these transmissions are all failing. The cost to replace is over $6,500. The dealership should have to do an official recall for this. After some research i found that the dealership has acknowledged the issue by replacing the TCM and uploading new software to put the transmission into a fail safe instead of putting in a new transmission. The issues that the failure causes has made thousands of people have to get new transmissions before the service is even due. …
When a Check engine light is on it's for a low voltage on the charge air coolant sensor, took to the chevy dealer, they replaced a connector to the sensor, at a cost of $600 never got off lot, light returned, they then said I need a new engine wiring harness at a cost of $10.000, the dealership said this is a problem with these trucks and GM knows about it but won't recall them. Now I'm struck with a 5-year-old truck that I can't use, When this light is on, I also receive an Emission system warning, and the truck deregulates and goes in limp mode. as speed is reduced it becomes dangerous to drive in traffic, as GM knows about this, they should recall these trucks and fix the problem, they even say it's because cutting corners on the wiring harness cover causes this problem. …
I received a notice via OnStar of a P129 code of a critical issue with engine or transmission system on my 2020 Silverado pickup after I pulled on to the highway. Vehicle reduced engine power warning and engine light came on. I was forced to put vehicle in neutral and restart vehicle several times. This code indicates fuel pump control module being defective. After researching, there seems to be issues with this on the the following; General Motors has issued voluntary emission recalls (such as bulletins N252516900 and N262558690) for the fuel pump power control module on select 2021-2023 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles. The issue with my vehicle is the same.
Truck experienced reduce power mode. Took to have codes ran and it showed 24 separate codes when engine light comes on. While riding down the road, truck will go into reduce power mode, shift automatically into 4x4, and several other notifications will appear. Taking to dealership and was told the electrical wiring harness was shorting out causing this issue. Cost around $700 for repair, happened one month later, took it back and no charge for the 2nd time. It is currently in reduced power now. Dealership stated to replace the wiring harness would cost over $3,000. Dealership stated this was a manufactures defect, but no recall was issued so all cost is on the owner.
My 2020 Silverado duramax was at the dealer for recall , next day check engine light came on and rear wheels got locked up , the dealer installed new transmission valve , next day same problem check engine light and rear wheels locked up again, now the dealer said is something to be with a speed sensor and I have to paid for it , my truck was perfectly working before all this recall thing, it's been 3 weeks now with no transportation, because GM and Chevy dealer don't want to respond or fix this problem with the transmission valve and transmission control module software that was installed My truck was all good before this matter
Transmission is changing out very hard in each gear. On tonight while I was driving, I lost speed on the interstate and when I push the accelerator, It was like back wheels were locked up. I left it at the next exit gas station and came back and towed it home. Lucky I was able to put hazard lights on and get off the side of the road but it was very slow speed. Yes I have had it look at certified dealer under Cheverolet. It was no warning light. I was going 65 and in a split second the rpm went up high and I was doing like 25. Once I finally made it to the gas station and got out the truck smell like a burning smell
