Equinox has 4636 miles and all three times it has been driven in snow a service ESC message comes on dash and traction control and stability control are turned off along with AWD. One time was highway driving, and other two times on a local street. Also while driving down the highway the dash message said reduced engine power (stayed on for 400 miles/two days) May reduce speeds to 50 MPH. RPM's stared running 1000 higher to maintain speed and fuel economy dropped about 8 mpg. GM mechanic didn't have time to diagnose but said the turbo was frozen because of temperatures (-10 degrees) and that it needed a winter front and new intake tube. Mechanic said he has seen this problem over 10 times with the same engine that day.
While in motion the car randomly and quickly decelerates and will not allow you to accelerate. Phillips Chevrolet has attempted to repair the car citing engine power reduction, transmission, stabilatrak and non verifiable issues over a 2 month period. Within that 2 month period, May 18, 2020 to July 24, 2020, there were 7 attempts to repair the car. All 7 attempts were unsuccessful. Between June 22, 2020 and July 30, 2020 there were more than 20 telephone calls placed between general motors and I, regarding this vehicle and it's engine, transmission and non-verifiable issues. General motors and phillips Chevrolet are refusing to acknowledge that the car is a lemon. There are currently a little over 8,500 miles on the car and I am in fear of my life each time I enter the car and I have made phillips Chevrolet and general motors aware of this issue. This is my second NHTSA report. …
Service ESC message came on twice my new 2019 Chevy Equinox premier( each time vehicle was stationary).I dismiss message each time so I can see the digital odometer when I drive, and take vehicle to my dealership (each time they don't document the problem). They said, each time, message has to be on for them to detect the problem. Is that true?

I immediate hit the OnStar and they gave me a code of p3055 and told me to take to the dealer within 7 days. . I was told it was a ' voltage communication ' issue and that I should be all set, it was resolved. The following 2/21/2018, while out at lunch during my work day, the solid state check engine line illuminated yet a 2nd time. This time they said my vehicle needed a new ' engine control module ' - that was repaired, approx. …
I stalled out in the middle of driving, the check engine light came on and then a message saying the engine power was low. The car would not start or go into neutral however I was able to put the hazard lights on as well as the radio and on-star. The tow truck driver got it started in low gear to get it on the tow truck, but it didn't start again. I was on a city street in rush hour, going less than 15 MPH. I just got my vehicle back from service at the mirak.com dealership in arlington, ma, and apparently the issue was: "caused by: perform scan tool test. The tech "extract codes with scan tools". I was told that it "just needed a software update". The vehicle did not provide any alerts prior to the incident or show any signs of an issue, so this is very alarming and a significant safety concern.
