Owner reports

After regular maintenence changing of brake fluid vehicle had a hard pull to the right when you first stepped on the brakes. After several mores attemps to bleed the system the pull was still there. I contacted the dealer for guidence and weseloh Chevrolet said to bring it in to them. They performed a full function bleed on my truck. I drove away from the dealer and within 1 block the brakes pulled right and I returned to the dealer. Their fix was to replace the calipers, brake linings and front brake hoses. Although that seemed to work, I still felt an occasional pull to the right but thought I was just imagining things as it would not pull twice in a row. In July of 2001 the pull again returned and would not go away. I took it back to the dealer and at this time they said the ABS valve was bad. …
ABS light came on, on dash, while traveling down a steep on lane dirt trail on a mountain, brakes locked up causing truck to slide down the trail about 75 ft, before truck came to stop in the bushes. ABS light comes on constantly and ABS system inoperative, gone into manual mode, even after several attempts to reset system following instruction from a local dealer over the phone. Brakes have been cleaned and adjusted and inspected, and ABS has been reset several times. Is this the same type of problem occuring in other GM ABS brake systems
While driving the ABS light illuminated on the dashboard and remain on. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the consumer that the front brakes needed to be replaced. However, the problem recurred three years later and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the driver that the pump needed to be replaced. Please provide further details.
Five times I turned my truck in for repairs due to a hard pull to the left or right during braking and I finally gave up as frustration set in. Many work days lost and still I live with the same problem. The brakes are terrible and it takes for ever to stop the truck. I am afraid of what would happen in a panic stop. Also the windshield wipers work whenever they feel like.
ABS light is illuminated on the dash. Also, upon depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle pulls to both left and right. Pedal traveled to the floorboard, causing extended stopping distance. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has replaced parts. But, problem still occurs. Please provide any further details.
While driving the vehical the consumer tried to make a sudden stop. Pressed the brake pedal to the floorboard, the vehical continued to still travel. Consumer pressed the brakes again the vehicle stopped. Also front brake pads needed replacement. Consumer withdrew this complaint on 05-12-97.
Upon applying the brakes and depressing brake pedal, an inordinate amount of time will elapse before brakes slow down the vehicle. When pressure to pedal is augmented, the resistance to pedal seems to increase proportionately and hinders effort to expedite brake operation.
When braking pedal went nearly to floor, was able to stop without incident. Master cylinder has been replaced twice, but pedal still has excessive play and is soft. Wipers quit while driving without any warning. Worked part time until circuit board was replaced.
Brake vacuum is leaking fluid from the power brake booster, causing loss of power brakes, and making it very difficult to stop vehicle without applying great froce to the brake pedal. Consumer has contacted the dealer. Please provide any further details.
I have a 1995 Chevrolet 1/2 ton c-1500 pick up. I have had to replace the front brake calipers twice because they froze in place causing brake problems. Both times they were delco calipers. This also required extensive brake system repairs.
