I'm sorry that I can't be more descriptive about this, but I am a woman what do you expect? Anyways, I have had my front brake pads replaced about 3 times now! I just had all new brakes and the rotors turned 4 months ago and the dealership said on my last brake inspection, 12/4 /00, that I only have 40% left on the front and 70% on the back! How can this be? I could understand this if I had a gizillion miles on my car and I ran the hell out of it but 35,000 miles and 3 brake jobs?! What's wrong with this picture? Well I guess that it will be a merry christmas at the dealership seeings how they have ripped me off for hundreds and hundreds of dollars!
Brakes failed 3 times without warning. The first time mechanic replaced master cylinder that he says was leaking. The next day brakes failed again & computer box next to master cylinder was replaced. Brakes worked for one month & without warning, went down to floor again. Computer has to be replaced again & we are in fear of driving it since there is no warning when brakes fail.
Consumer was driving approx 35-40 MPH, went to hit brakes & received no response, no brakes action, no warning light, put brakes to floor, no response. In order to slow down and avoid an accident, had to pull emergency brake which caused the vehicle to do a 180 degree spin, the vehicle has no prior brake problem history. Weather was sunny/dry.
Consumer is complaiing of four sets of brake pads had to be replaced within 58000 miles of wear, even though dealer replaced & repaired them without cost to the consumer because warranty still being ineffect. But this condition still needs to be investigated because it is not a normal condition. Dealer notified.
Per my mechanic, there was a problem and supposedly a recall regarding the emergency brake cable cutting the wiring harness for the rear ABS brake system.. I never received anything on this, and I was wondering if I submit the bill to someone at Chevrolet, if I can get reimbursed.
ABS system is working intermittently. When driving down a hill, the consumer applied the brakes ,and the ABS system gave out. Brake pedal was hard, and the rear wheels locked up. Consumer had to keep pumping the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop.
Transmission failed completely at 60,000 miles had to be replaced; brakes have been replaced 3 times rotors once, at 70,000 miles more brake problems, sunviser fell off at 100 miles, seat belts locked up at 100 miles. This car is completely unreal.
When braking the pedal goes to the floor, there is no control. This is the third time consumer has taken vehicle in for repairs. Dealership has replaced ABS motor twice, and now repairs are needed for third time.
When she is driving about any MPH and stepped on the brake pedal to stop vehicle, the brakes do not stop and make noise. Consumer replied that she had to replace the brakes shoes almost every month.
The defective brake master cylinder malfunctioned, causing loss of braking ability without warning which resulted in an accident. Dealer replaced brake master cylinder.
