While driving at 30 MPH the car lost power steering. I was able to pull to the side of the road. The car was towed to a repair shop, where they found that the three bolts holding the power steering pump broke off in the engine block. They replaced the bolts at a cost of $275. I had just completed a 1200 mile trip.

I had a 1995 Buick Park Avenue and mine caught on fire exactly as is described in your recall new recall of buicks- however I did not see mine included in your list and I think it is important that you know this. I was on my way to a restaurant to meet with a client and was fortunately able to pull off the street into a parking lot. Another truck pulled in that had an extinguisher and he put it out before the fire department got there. It was totaled. I had a towed to an auto repair facility where it was junked for parts (I signed the title over to them). [redacted] I do not recall the date - I would have to pull the copy I made of the car title. So I am just putting a guess below so I can submit the form. I can provide a copy of the title, the auto repair company owner name and contact info and VIN if you want it ...just call or email.
Electrical system
Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle has failed to start on several occasions. There was a clicking sound when the ignition was engaged. There were other electrical problems such as the headlights turning themselves on when the vehicle was parked in a shaded or dark area. The interior lights have been observed going on and off while the vehicle was parked and the ignition was turned off.
