The contact stated that upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer a day after purchasing the vehicle, while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start, with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The dealer replaced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the failure was a parasitic battery drain. The contact was informed that the dealer was unable to verify what was the cause of the parasitic battery drain. The contact was informed that the engineer might need to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle had been taken back to the dealer several times because of the failure. On [redacted] we were in the acceleration lane on [redacted], merging onto the highway. When we engaged the cruise control the car rapidly accelerated up to 97 mph. We were unable to get car to slow down, or disengage the cruise for approximately 1 minute. The care ran for 97 mph for the minute or so this happened. Husband was driving and he did all we knew to do to disengage the cruise and get the car slowed down. After approximately 1 minute the car started to slow down. We immediately took the car to Kelly Chevrolet in [redacted]. We were told that General Motors usually doesn't do anything to help the consumer unless there have been 4 reported cases. (This happened one other time about 2 weeks prior, but we thought it was a fluke and didn't report it.) We had this car for 1 1/2 years with 22,000 miles. …
When driving on the freeway at night in intermittently foggy conditions, I attempted to adjust the automatic high-beam controls on the center console screen in the vehicle. During this attempt, as I was selecting to deactivate the auto lighting function, ALL of the vehicle lights shut off at once, and the console and screen-based instrument cluster went completely black. I attempted to stop the vehicle as quickly as possible and struck a small reflector post at the side of the road. The instrument panel and lights restarted, but his incident could have easily resulted in a catastrophic loss of control, endangering myself and others. To my knowledge, no incidents or recalls of this sort have been reported for this model, but a recall for a similar malfunction was issued in late 2023 for some models of the Chevrolet Trax, Buick Envista, and Buick Encore GX. …
Description of Safety Defect: While operating the vehicle at approximately 25-30MPH and make a right turn, the vehicle experienced a sudden and total loss of power/engine stall, accompanied by a "Check Engine" light and a "Reduced Engine Power" notification. This resulted in a near-collision on a public roadway. The vehicle's steering and braking response were significantly compromised during this event, creating an immediate life-safety hazard for the driver and passengers. Dealer/Manufacturer Response: The vehicle was recently in the possession of McGovern Buick GMC Westborough for service. Despite the vehicle exhibiting an active Check Engine Light (CEL), the dealership staff pressured the consumer to take delivery of the vehicle and drive it on public roads. …

The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH and attempting to stop the vehicle, the brakes failed to immediately activate while depressing the brake pedal. The contact attempted to steer the vehicle to prevent crashing into the vehicle in front and became aware that the vehicle had lost power steering functionality. The contact had to depress the brake pedal to the floorboard for the vehicle to come to a stop. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake module had failed; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the steering failure. The contact stated that the brake module had been replaced. …
The contact owns a 2023 Buick Envision. The contact stated that upon purchasing the vehicle, the park assist sensor had not been installed in the vehicle. The contact was informed by the dealer that a letter would be sent once the sensor was available; however, the contact had not yet received the letter. Both the dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the issue and confirmed that the sensor was still unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50.
The contact owns a 2022 Buick Envision. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in the garage while he was working in the yard with the vehicle fob in his pocket. The contact stated as he walked into the garage, he noticed that the vehicle was running on its own. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact sat in the driver's seat, put his seatbelt on, depressed the brake pedal, pushed the turn off button and the vehicle turned off. The contact stated that the fob alone could not start the vehicle as the vehicle was designed to only start when he got in the driver seat, locked the driver's door, put his seatbelt on, and pushed the start button while in possession of the fob. The contact also attempted to start the vehicle with the fob alone several times to determine whether the fob alone could start the vehicle, but he was not successful. …
