Driving home from work and I seen the "service brake assist" light popped on. I did not know what that meant, until I tried to slow down around a curve. The brake pedal was extremely firm and mad stopping in time almost impossible. I made it home and looked on internet for answers. I checked the sensors, brake fluid and checked again and no help. I noticed a puddle of oil under the car and checked the lipstick which showed i was very low on oil. The next day I had to tow the car 45 to 50 miles to dealership. The dealership had car for 3 days and told us it was the brake vacuum pump that failed. The vehicle was not under warranty and we paid over $800 to have it repaired. We live off a busy road and it was very hazardous driving it home.

Wheels & tires

I'm recalling an incident I reported last year. GM refused to honor the service bulletin, and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac in Kenosha, WI refused to work with Michelin. At 30,000 miles, I now hydroplane, and when I had my car serviced a few weeks before my warranty was set to expire, the dealership again refused to honor the prorate chart for the tires, and again tried to just sell me new ones. I provided a picture of one of the tires now, and you can clearly see how they have deteriorated. I IMPLORE YOU TO MAKE A FULL RECALL. GM IS CLEARLY AVOIDING THIS ISSUE, AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT WORK WITH MICHELIN TO CORRECT IT. Below is the original complaint. Tires are measuring low tread (4/32in) under 27,000. At under 25,000 miles on 6/17/2022, my vehicle experienced a blowout at low speed (approx 20mph), minutes after it had been parked. …

All 4 Michelin Premier LTX 225 / 60 R 18 tires are worn down to (on 2 tires) and below (on 2 tires) the unsafe level, where the vehicle cannot even pass an insnspection, due to safety concerns. The mileage this occurred at is 26,175 miles. These tires are "rated" by Michelin for 60,000 miles. I say rated because they carry a 60,000 mile tread life warranty, in writing (and on their website) from Michelin, which they provide the vehicle manufacturer to be placed in the glovebox. The second page of fine print, however, states in the next to final bullet point, that the warranty does not apply to OEM tires provided on new vehicle purchases. After speaking with several dealerships, parts departments and stand alone tire stores (which sell this brand), they are all aware of not only this practice with Michelin, but knew which model of tire I was referring to, without me mentioning it. …

There are currently two items to report on this vehicle: 1) Failure of the gear shift. The replacement is not available for inspection. PCM found defective. The PCM was not seeing the transmission in park or neutral. The shifter assembly had to be replaced. The vehicle was not driveable and had to be towed for repair. No safety issues concerning this event. Repair confirmed failure of gear shifting mechanism. No inspection by others prior to this event occurring in April 2026. No messages of impending failure. 2) Failure of steering gear. Replaced parts not available for inspection. At highway speeds steering became unstable and unresponsive with various pavement conditions(almost a feeling of becoming airborne), Even at low speeds (over a speedbump) vibration occured. Dealer repair consisted of replacement steering gear with new motor and internal power steering control module. …

The envision started losing power, the engine would not gain speed or if it did it was very slow, had the booster vacuum sensor changed, Sudden loss of power or sluggish acceleration, In the beginning the noise/whining was not loud however increased from the engine. Took to a repair shop, could not figure it out, informed dealership, was advised to bring it in. As the car was driven into the lot it died and was unable to start again, dealership informed it was going to cost more than the $22,000 that I paid for it. It appears that the turbo's failure has damaged internal components, a full engine rebuild is necessary. Bought the car with 63,000 miles, engine went around 100k, had an easy care insurance/mechanical policy just over the mileage limit, tried contacting Buick, due to no recall they wouldn't start a case file for me
