I stated on another form about my other safety issue. My son was in an accident in 2013 328I xdrive this website states this vehicle does not have an open recall or any recalls on it. I say bull crap not only did my son lose break, accessibility and crash into a tree doing 54 miles an hour. He also had the airbags deploy and burned him. Air bag dust literally ate right through his pants. I still have the severely burned up his hands We purchased this vehicle for Son last year, because BMWs are known to be safe. My 16-year-old son was almost killed in his car because of BMWs negligence.

I was at the John Wayne Airport, going from the arrivals to departures. I had a lot of stop and go traffic, and when I was going down toward the bottom, my brakes failed. I kept pumping them to try and stop but they were not working. I saw an empty area where the car rental returns were and I was able to pull over and come to a stop. I was very lucky that there was a spot to pull over, I used the emergency brake as well when I finally came to a stop. I want the brake system to be looked into. After seeing the other complaints regarding the exact situation, I do not understand why this was not looked into before I got this car.
Tl* the contact owned a 2013 BMW 328i. While driving 25 MPH, the vehicle accelerated on its own to 40-50 MPH. All the warning indicator sensors blinked on and off. The contact depressed the brake pedal; however, the brakes failed and locked up. In addition, the steering failed. The vehicle drove over the sidewalk and the seat belt released automatically. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The struck her head on the steering wheel and injured her neck and lower back. Medical attention was received. The vehicle was going down a hill (straight forward) on a ca city street when the driver shifted from auto to manual gear. Instead of working as expected, the car underwent a sudden acceleration and braking proved ineffective. Through a couple seconds of attempted braking with no response, the car kept on accelerating instead. Finally, after making two turns on the hill, the car spun completely out of control and swerved to the other side of the street where it crashed through five trees and eventually stopped. The driver loss of consciousness and delivered to er. The weather condition was good. The failure mileage was 79,541. Policy report filed.

Purchased the new BMW 328i 2013 in May, 2013. After roughly 3 months having the car, I was in a parking lot, pulling into a spot at a low speed. For no reasons, the brake suddenly and totally failed on me. I could not stop the car before the car run over the curb and the front end of the car collided with the concrete block. I was luck that I was not on highway or street when this brake malfunction occurred. I called BMW sos assist and requested towing the car to a local BMW service department. The BMW service advisor told me to send the car to the collision center for a regular body work, but I showed them all the brake malfunction incidents reported online for the same model and year car and insisted they contact BMW na and check the entire brake system. The car has been in BMW position now for two weeks waiting for BMW na field engineer. BMW did not provide a loaner to me.

Also, the contact heard an abnormal bumping noise and the vehicle hesitated upon starting. When the vehicle was restarted, it resumed normal operation; however, the seat belt warning indicator illuminated. The contact called BMW of henderson (261 auto mall dr, henderson, nv 89014, [phone]) and BMW of las vegas (6900 w sahara ave, las vegas, nv 89117, [phone]) and was informed that the vehicle was not covered under a warranty. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 39,000.

BMW of North America LLC (BMW) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 320i, 328i, 320i xDrive, and 328i xDrive sedans; model year 2014 328i xDrive Sports Wagons; model year 2012-2013 528i and 528i xDrive sedans, model year 2013-2014 X1 sDrive28i and X1 xDrive28i vehicles and model year 2012-2014 Z4 sDrive28i roadsters.
Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will modify the vehicles to prevent insufficient vacuum pump lubrication, free of charge. The safety recall began on January 31, 2014.
