The contact owns a 2008 Audi A4. The contact received an unknown recall notice related to the air bags. The contact scheduled an appointment at a dealer and had the recall serviced. The contact then stated that while idle in the parking lot of a hospital, a speeding vehicle clipped the front end, driver's side of her vehicle, which caused the entire front bumper to detach from the vehicle. The driver also hit a gate, guardrail, and utility box in the parking lot. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact was then treated at the hospital for an injury to her neck and left shoulder. The contact sustains severe headaches weeks after the accident. The contact received an X-ray and had been assigned to physical therapy for the next few months. The other driver was not injured as a result of the accident. A police report was filed. …
i was in a pretty bad car accident, the car was totaled but the air bags didn't deploy and i slammed my head on my steering wheel, i got side swiped and the driver door wasn't able to be opened i had to kick it open and the front of the car hit a concrete pole going roughly 35 mph or more.
Audi is wanting me and another driver to drive 2.5 hours to their dealer drop off the car for repairs, then drive back. Then after the repairs are complete make that trip again. They want us to spend 20 man hours driving, plus gas, food, and mileage. None of this is reimbursed. I have called and written Audi several times with the same answer. This is unreasonable when they have a local VW dealer and other Audi certified mechanics that can do the job within 20 minutes. Our zip code is [redacted] . [redacted]

I accidentally drove over the rumble strip on the side of the highway. The right rear tire blew and the car flipped over six times and changed direction. Every side air bag inflated excepted for my side, the driver's side air bag. The front air bag did not deploy either. My A4 was completely destroyed except for where I was sitting. When the first responders came they did not expect for me to be alive and the accident was classified as a level 2 trauma. I hit my head on the driver's side window and suffered a major concussion with a hematoma. I also had major facial lacerations, a broken nose, broken ribs, and a severe bone bruise on my knee. Audi sent an inspector to the car after the accident and his conclusion was there was not enough impact on the side of the car even though the car flipped six times at highway speeds to deploy my side air bag. …
Takata recall: I received my passenger frontal airbag recall (dir2) notice dated March 2017 and it advises that because the replacement parts are not available, that Audi recommends avoiding use of the front passenger seat whenever possible until the recall repair has been performed. This vehicle is my family's primary vehicle and is used by the driver and one or more passengers nearly every day. We have a second vehicle, a 2007 Ford ranger which also has a Takata passenger frontal airbag recall with no date for repair. I have spoken with my local Audi dealer who has stated that no replacement parts will be available for at least two years or more. We have waited for the Ford ranger airbag replacement parts for a couple of years already. …
Takata recall-my 2008 Audi A4 has been under recall for much greater than one year. I am at the Audi dealer today for routine service and again I have been presented with a reminder that my car is under recall and that for safety concerns no one should ride in the passenger front seat! I have been patient listening to the corporate-speak about how this is a not an Audi problem, but a Takata problem. At this time, I believe that Volkswagen ag, the owner of Audi should own this problem and not continue to pass it off to a financially unaccountable international parts manufacturer. I have been informed that my vehicle is not eligible for dealer trade-in because of this unfulfilled recall. At this time my financial loss is not insignificant, however the sustained exposure to life threatening injury cannot be justified by Audi or Volkswagen. …
